Andi waltzed into her first period class, as a senior she was happy she had managed to find space in her schedule for an easy class. She was taking Intro to Theatre because she had procrastinated on completing her fine arts credit, she wasn't musical like Bradley (he drummed) or a good singer like her friend Lydia(who over the summer had decided to die her beautiful blond hair pink).

Andi plopped down and adjusted her galaxy print sweatshirt before focusing on her ballet flats (they looked like cats!) She didn't even notice when someone sat down beside her.

Until that person spoke. "Hey Andi!"

Andi's head snapped up immediately and she was greeted by Audrey's very large smile. She wore a white peplum and a silver owl pendant on a chain. She looked totally pristine. Andi smiled back. Audrey was definitely growing on her.

"Are you excited for this class," Andi asked as casually as she could. Andi was super excited herself and ready to just jump right in and begin, even though she kind of knew that was not how this would be going.

"Kind of, I'm more nervous though," Audrey's reply was quiet. She wasn't really known for being shy.

Andi tilted her head to the side just slightly and opened up her mouth to speak when a girl with bright pink hair came and sat on the other side of her. It was Lydia.

Andi turned to face her, "Lydia, isn't your first period chorus?"

"Yeah, I just came by to see if the rumors were true."

Audrey just stared at Lydia, she was completely silent, her eyes wide. She definitely hadn't interacted with Andi's crowd before.

"What rumors," Andi was worried now. What were people saying about her?

"Bradley said you had made friends with a prep, you're not going to start dressing in pastels are you?" Lydia looked utterly disgusted by the thought of any of her friends wearing anything that was lighter than hot pink.

"I don't think you'll be catching me in baby pink anytime soon, but I am friends with Audrey. Lydia, this is Audrey. Audrey, this is Lydia."

"Hey," Audrey seemed to have regained her composure and she shot Lydia a fairly large smile.

"Hi..." Lydia leaned in close to Andi so she could whisper in her ear. "Are you sure about this one Andi?"

Andi turned and glanced at Audrey who had pulled out her phone. She was texting. There was a toucan on her phone case.

"Yeah, I'm sure, she's cool Lydia. Trust me."

"Fine, I gotta head out before I'm late to class." Lydia stood and strode out of the room. As soon as the door shut behind her the warning bell rang.

At lunchtime Audrey and one of her friends, Alice (a petite blonde), were walking over to their regular table together. Karson and Colin (Karson's friend) were already there. As the two girls sat down, they're matching Vera Bradley lunch boxes making dull thuds on the top of the table, the two boys stopped talking and watched as they got situated before including them in the conversation.

"Audrey, tell Colin that Bradley and Andi aren't scary and mean."

Audrey laughed at the idea of anyone being scared of Bradley or Andi. "They're actually really nice."

Alice raised her eyebrows. "Are you friends with them?"

Audrey and Karson exchanged a glance, "Yeah, we are."

Alice nodded her head slowly before speaking, "If you two like them then they can't be that bad."

    Colin agreed.

On the other side of the cafeteria Andi was grabbing Bradley's bicep and dragging him out into the hallway. "Why is it so bad that I'm friends with Audrey? I thought you liked Karson and Audrey."

"I do! I don't have a problem with either of them." Bradley crossed his arms and leaned up against the lockers.

    Andi rolled her eyes.

"I'm just afraid you'll start dressing more like Audrey."

    "So what if I do?"

"I don't know, I like the way you dress now. It's hot."

Andi giggled. "You're such a boy."
