I woke up bright an early the following day to get what I needed to do done. I turned on my radio that's Bluetooth to my cellphone and played "Ain't going down till the sun goes up" by Garth Brooks. I jump in the shower and wash my hair and body from the fun from yesterday. After getting dressed I make my way down stairs where my mom was making breakfast,"Mornin Momma". She looks at me and smiles, "Morning. Hey your dads outside and he wants to talk to you about something." An this is where I start to get worried because usual when my dad wants to talk to me its usually is about me getting in trouble for something. I walk outside to the front porch to see that dad was in the barn that came with the property. I walk out there to see what he has to say and see if its good or bad. "Hey Dad, Mom said you wanted to talk to me?" he turns to me. "Yes, because I have a present for you" I was no longer nervous but now curious.'Could it be a four-wheeler?'. He points me in the direction of the stall and I see a horse. Its a buckskin gelding who stands about 15 hands tall. My jaw automatically dropped I wasn't expecting anything like this. "He's all yours but you have to realize that he's your responsibility that means you feed him, make sure he's brushed, and your have to pay for the feed, but I will take care of his shoes". I honestly didn't know what to say before I jumped and hugged my dad. "Thanks Daddy!!!!" I was so excited I wanted to ride him already but then I realized that I didn't have any tack. "Will I have to buy my own tack?". "No, I already bought it" I glanced over his shoulder and seen my saddle and reins. It was a circle Y custom made I could tell, because the seat of the saddle was Realtree camo with tan leather. I was ready to ride and everything but then I forgot that I had get his equipment, and look for a job. While lost in thought dad says, "So what are you going to name him?" I thought about it for a second or two. Then I remembered my favorite movie from when I was 7 or 8. "I think I found his name...Spirit" Dad smiles because he knows exactly why I named him. "What are you going to do today?" dad asks me while in standing in the barn petting Spirit. "I'm going to go around town and see if I can get a job, but I don't know where I should work". After standing there for a few minutes dad gets an idea, "You could work at a garage I mean since you know almost as much as me about cars" as my father says this I see the pride in his eyes. "You know what dad that ain't a bad idea". I run back inside and tell my mom that I'm going into town and looking for a job. "Where are you thinking about working?" And I told her I was thinking about working in a garage or a feed store. She smiled know that I would possibly be working in a garage. I grab my keys and run out to the truck knowing I had a lot to get done in a few hours I turned on Garth Brooks. I cranked the radio and pulled out the drive way burnin rubber. Wondering if I would see the blue eyed boy from the café.
