Dixie's POV
The following Monday was hectic cause of two reasons. One I had a busted lip and my face hurt like a bitch. Two everyone was starting at me like I had grown a second damn head. I walked into the building and looked for the boys but seen Samantha first so I went to her. "Hey Samantha, why does everyone keep starting at me?" She turned and smirked. "Sweetheart you just made the cheer caption look like a completely fool last night and she got her ass kick which is going all around school". I'm pretty sure right about now I looked like a deer in headlights," Oh shit I did damn I didn't know she was the caption...". Before I could finish a blonde girl came up to me a little wild child. "Hey Dixie wow I gotta say nice hands. Anyway I'm part of the highschool rodeo and a little birdy told me you were wanting to be part of it?" I looked around to see Colton with they boys with the rodeo club looking at me and winked. "Why yes ma'am I am I wanna barrel race. I just receive my horse as a gift from my dad and I would love to be part of the rodeo team." She gave me and address of the arena that I could practice at and I began looking for Colton.

Coltons POV
I was talking to the guys when I feel a tap on my shoulder and it's Dixie. God I swear she gets more beautiful every time I see her. She hugged me so tight I thought I was gonna have my ribs crushed," Jesus, Dixie I gotta breathe sometime sweetheart." I laughed and she let go and kissed my cheek yelling. "Thank you oh my god thank you so much Sky gave me the go ahead for the rodeo!!" Sky was the head of our high school rodeo I spoke with her about Dixie wanting to be in the rodeo. At first sky wasn't sure about it and then everyone heard that Dixie put Amber on her ass. Then, sky was all for it cause sky has never like Amber but couldn't touch her cause of her fathers place in the toudom pole. "I'm happy for you" I say and give her a big hug. I wanted to kiss her honestly, but I knew that would start shit 'not yet' I tell myself.

Later In the day
Dixies POV
There's a meeting for the rodeo at the arena and therefore we got to leave early.  I had to run to my house and get spirit and haul ass to the arena. I walked into the arena to see that boys 'I didn't know that they all did rodeo?' and the girls from the team talking about there horse. Sky spoke, "Alright guys, we have a new member for Texas who recently moved here. Say hi Dixie!" I was honestly kinda nervous cause I didn't want to embarrass myself in front of everyone, "Hey y'all." . Sky teamed me up with here since none of the other girls wanted to help me. "Okay Dixie, do you know the order of which you take on the barrels?" I nodded. I watched the rodeo that passes in Texas every spring so I had a little jist on how to do it. I started slow and let spirit walk, and then he just took off running so I just guided him. I felt this sudden rush of energy it felt amazing. Before I knew it I was already passed the gate after going around the last barrel. "Like that?" and Sky looked at me like I had just turned myself into a pretzel or something. It was quite hilarious.

*An hour and a half later*

"Alright guys we all need to keep up the good work, and our first rodeo is in three weeks. So be prepared and keep your grades up this team isn't given to you. You must prove you want it.". We all nodded and headed to our trailers to put our stuff up. I feel this tap on my shoulder and my fight or flight senses kicked in so I kicked my leg out and dropped down sending the person behind me falling. I look to see its Brian, "Jesus Christ Almighty Brian, I could have seriously hurt you!!" he got up and dusted himself off," No you couldn....." he pauses when he sees the face I'm makin. "I couldn't have hurt you?" I waited for a response and didn't get one. "Good boy" I laughed and when back to taking the tack off spirit. "You did great today by the way before you know it you might be all around cowgirl." I  smiled and thanked him. He told me all the buckles he'd won from saddle bronc riding, and started talking about himself. "Hey, I'm kinda tired I'm gonna go ahead and head home." I jumped in my truck after saying bye. I honestly wasn't tired but I was just tired of him talking about himself. I looked down to see my phone being blown up from three people my mom, dad, and Colton. I texted my mom and dad letting them know that I was on my way home and that I was okay. then I texted Colton.

C= Hey, you did good today keep it up.

D= Thanks hun! ^_^

C= Well I'm beat I'll see you tomorrow beautiful.

I smiled at his message and sent him a good night texted. By then I was already home and seen my mom making a face at me. "What's that face for?" she smirked and shook her head. "I knw that smile is from him. So you think he likes you?". I shrugged and said, "I don't know but I think so." I made me a snack and went to my room since I wasn't that hungry. i finished some homework and then went to sleep.
