Falling an Falling fast

Dixie's POV

I wake up from a ringing noise in my ears, and my head. I look around and see that I am no longer in school but on my bed. I go to sit up when I get a dizzy feeling and lay back down. 'What happened' 'Why am I on my bed?' I get lost in though and don't notice someone coming into my room. "Hey you feel okay?" I look up to see Colton with a concerned look in his eyes. "What happened? Why am I here and not at school?". He gave me a look like he was a puppy with his head tilted. "You don't remember what happened?" I shook my head and immediately regret it. My face hurt like hell as well as my head. "Dixie you fought six guys today. Four of them where jumping me" and he pointed to his face. "And another two on Luke however Brian was nowhere to be found. You came up and pushed the guys on me off and yelled swing which he did and you fought." I now understood what was going one." Great I had another black-out." I didn't want to think about it at all. I wanted to go ride spirit. "Hey you wanna go ride?" "Horses? You have horses?" I nodded. He beamed a smile "Yes." 

I jumped in the shower to relax my muscles and my nerves. I plugged in my phone to listen to music. I played my classic country playlist cause classic country is better than any country. Miami My Amy came on and I sang along with it. I guess I didn't close my bath room door cause after the song ended I hear Colton say, "You have a beautiful voice." I laugh and feel my face go red, "I'll shut the door for you." "Thanks". After I hear to door shut I got out and grabbed blue jeans and a tee shirt. I walked into my bedroom and see Colton looking at a photo on my dresser.

Colton's POV

               I heard her sing in the shower, and couldn't help but listen. she had a beautiful singing voice. After shutting her bathroom door I turn to see a photo on her dresser. It was her with a younger boy guessing the oldest boy, and an older man she was trying to salute. I hear the old open and turned around to see her looking at the photo as well. "That's my grandpa he was in the Navy during the Vietnam war or the second world war I can't remember. He had gotten colon cancer and beat it we were all happy. However, him and my mother and gotten into a fight and I didn't see him for a long time. One day I got a call from my real mom and had found out tht he had passed due to lung cancer." I saw tears in her eyes and went to her to hold her. She started to cry harder. "Hey, don't cry Baby doll he's in a better place. An I hate seeing you cry it hurts my heart" she smiled and ran out the door yelling, "Last one to the barn get the tack!" . I laughed and ran after her. 

              By the time I had gotten to the barn she already had two horses out of their stalls and putting on their tack. The sun and caught her hair just right and the wind blew at the right time making me stop in my tracks. She looked at me and laughed ,"Boy you gotta learn to keep up."  I smiled and went to help her with the tack. "So, which one am I riding?" she pointed to a rust colored mare. "You'll ride stormy, and this beautiful stud is spirit." She stroked his muzzle and kissed it.  She saddled up and waited on me. She rode out the barn and said, "Race you again you might win this time." I looked at her, "Oh really?"  And we raced like our lives depended on it.

We reached a hill with a tree at the top, and we stopped to rest the horses. She hobbled the horses, and climbed the tree. I felt something hit my head and look to see she had dropped an apple on my head. She jumped out of the tree and picked the apple up off the ground to give to me. We sat at the base of the tree and watched the sun go down. "Beautiful." she said talking about the sun set. "One day, I'm gonna take you to see a Texas sunset.". I looked at her, "Girl, it don't matter where we are or what sunset it is. It will never be as beautiful as you." She got teary eyed. I leaned in to kiss her and realize that I was falling for this girl and falling fast.
