"Do you girls need anything?" A nice women named Cindy asked. Both girls shook their heads no.  

"W-when will my um dad be here?" Jamie asked her voice shaking as she spoke.  

"In about 10 minutes I would suppose from when we called him." Cindy explained "Jamie do you know I am?" Jamie shook her head.  

"I'm your case worker. Since your mother didn't leave a will that we can find yet your going over to your father for now. But it's my job to get you where and what you want. Now do you want to go with your father?" Jamie thought long and hard and looked at her best friend and her second mom who sat next to her. Stella's mom Kailee had rode down to the center with Stella and was there right next to Jamie.  

"I want to be with Stella." Jamie said as she grabbed her best friends hands.  

"Well we already talked to Mrs. Davis and she can't be your legal gardenia since she's not blood related you and her house isn't up the codes it needs to be to get a child from the State." Cindy explained "however if your father agrees that Stella may travel with you and Mrs. Davis signs a paper saying she can go with you she may go." After hearing this Jamie turned to Kailee with pleading eyes.  

"Jamie I'll let Stella go but I've met your dad and I don't think he'll be up for it. You sure can try though." Kaliee told her.  

"What if I don't want to go with my dad?" Jamie asked.  

"Well" Cindy started "It's my job to speak for you and if you don't wanna go with dad I'll tell the courts that but you'll still have to go with your dad when he gets here." Jamie shook her head.  

"I'm not leaving Stella!" Jamie shouted "Stella you promised you wouldn't leave me! You promised!" Jamie was getting louder and louder with each word. So Stella ssshhhed her and rubbed her back. 

"Jamie I wont leave you I promise." Stella told her sobbing best friend then turned to Cindy. "What if you appeal to courts saying she'd have a break down and possibly hurt someone or herself in her fit if she's away from me." Jamie's eyes widened.  

"Wait you mean tell them I'm crazy?!" Jamie asked hurtfully.  

"No sweetie. We'd just tell the courts you need to stay with Stella." Cindy told her "Stella that might work." Jamie shook her head. 

"Were all making plans on the idea that my um dad wont say yes to Stella coming so let's see what he says when he gets here." Jamie said just before million screams ripped though the air.  

"I don't think we'll have to wait long to ask Jamie." Kailee said as they saw a man with black hair gave though the door. He was wearing jeans with a plain blue shirt and black jacket. He also had black fuzz on his face like he needed to shave but hadn't have time. He walked over to the front desk and then was pointed to where Jamie, Stella, and the rest were sitting talking. He spotted Jamie and ran straight to her.  

"Jamie? Oh Jamie!" He said as he dropped to his knees and in gulfed her in a hug. Jamie's eyes bugged out at Stella who simply shrugged in return.  

"Um hi dad." Jamie said once Jeremy finally let her go.  

"How are you sweetie?" Jeremy asked. Jamie open dropped open as she looked to Stella with a 'Did he really just ask that?' look on her face. See his mistake he shook his head. 

"Hello Mr. Connor I'm Cindy Vance I'm your daughter's case worker." Cindy told Jeremy.  

"Case worker? Why does my daughter need a case worker?" Jeremy asked.
