Stella rolled herself out of bed around ten a.m. the next morning. She looked over at Jamie, sleeping in the bed next to her. She slowly padded over and stroked her friend's hair softly.

"Wake up, Jamie Jewel. Time to get ready." Jamie sighed sadly and pulled her pillow over her head.

"I don't wanna get up. Let me sleep forever."

"I know hon, but guess what? I was looking at the room service menu last night, and guess what? They have chocolate chip pancakes." Jamie was silent for a long time, but then Stella heard;

"Fiiiiine..." and Jamie pulled away the pillow and sat up.

"Good girl. I'll call the kitchen, you get dressed." Jamie slowly got out of bed and pulled on some jeans and an old t-shirt. She did feel a little bit better, a good night's sleep had helped. Obviously, life still sucked, but... maybe, just maybe, it could get better. Stella came back into the bedroom portion of their hotel room and smiled.

"I ordered lots of pancakes." Jamie gave a smile.

"Cool." Stella sat down on her bed.

"Um, so... you're dad said we're leaving at noon. Got everything ready?" Stella asked while Jamie sighed.

"Yep." So the girls chatted until their pancakes came, and they both ate large helpings, since they hadn't eaten since the cookies Jamie's mom had made. There was a knock at the door at around eleven thirty.

"Girls? It's me?" Jeremy's already familiar voice drifted through the door and Jamie got up to answer him. He stepped inside and looked around.

"You girls ready? We're packing up the bus." The girls handed him their bags and followed him down to the lobby, where Justin and Drew were waiting.

"Hey, Stella." Justin winked. Stella giggled.

"Hi." Jamie turned to Stella with a 'what the hell?' look. Stella immediately stopped smiling and looked away. Jeremy sighed.

"Come on, guys, the bus is ready." Drew and Stella got on first, carrying their things up the steep steps. When Justin was about to get on the bus, Jamie grabbed his arm.

"She's my best friend, don't touch her."

"I don't think that's for you to decide." He said, leveling his gaze on her. Jamie stared back at him for a minute.

"Whatever, she wouldn't fall for a guy like you anyway." Jamie told him sure of her best friend. Justin chuckled.

"You'd be surprised. Now move, you're in my way." Justin said rudely as he pushed past Jamie. Jamie sneered then got on the bus herself. Everyone filed on the bus and the girls walked around to check it out. They oohed and ahhed over everything as the bus pulled away from the hotel and they set off on the road. The girls each put their things on one of the small beds built onto the walls of the bus. Justin looked over at Jamie.

"Um, that's my bed." Justin told her pointing at the bed. Jamie looked at him.

"It's just a bed. Get over it."

"If it's just a bed, then pick a new one." Justin hissed. Jeremy walked over to them. "Alright, you two. This has got to stop. Justin, it's just a bed. Pick a new one." Justin clenched his jaw.

"Whatever." He started to walk away, but as he did, he purposely bumped into Jamie and she turned around, looking after him.

"Excuse you."
