He threw his arms around me then we went to the counter. He took what I was holding then put them on the counter.
"I'm paying." He whispered by my left ear. I looked at him, who is he? The cashier brought the paper bag at us, he took it then we left the store. I removed his arm around me then took the paper bag.
"What no, thank you?" He snickered.
"Who are you anyway?" I said, he came closer then took my hand to kiss it.
"Henry, at your service." He stood up then winked at me. He released my hand, he moved back a little but he was still close. "Can I get your phone number, mademoiselle?" I rolled my eyes then went the other way.
"I'm sorry but I have no time for you." I said as I walked further.
I was walking on my way home when I felt someone was following me. I turned my head to see Henry. He smiled then run towards me.
"I won't stop unless I get your phone number." That was the time when I noticed he looked fairly familiar. Maybe I saw him with Jake some time ago. "What's wrong? Is there something at my face?" He took my hand then placed it at his face. My eyes widened then he released my hand afterwards.
"I don't give anyone my number unless you're a friend of mine or friends with Jake." As I said Jake's name, Henry grabbed my wrist.
"You know Jake?" He asked, i nod. "Do you know about us?" I thought for a few seconds.
"Don't tell me you and Jake are a couple?" He chuckled then threw his arm around me again.
"No, you dimwit. About us you know." I gave him a questioning look. "Well you are the Eri Nicole, Jake was talking about right? So you must know I am part of the Johns."
"So, John Henry?" He nodded. "I met 4 new Johns in a day." I muttered and he laughed. I realized that we were nearing to my house. "Wait you are not serious you are walking me to my house?"
"What if I am, Nicole?" I run passed him.
"No you can't." He came closer to me.
"Why not?" He is really close now.
"Since I don't know you yet." Just 1 foot now.
"Well let's hurry to your house then, so that I can have a talk with you." He held my hand. "Or better yet, let's talk now." I run to catch his pacing.
"Okay, you first." He sighed.
"Well, my father retired being a part of the Johns 2 years ago because he has AIDS now and a John can't have AIDS or any kind of that disease. A John must be healthy always."
"He just have AIDS why did he need to retire?" I mumbled. "Don't you dare say that all you guys do to the chosen one is-"
"No." He said and laughed. "No, it's not like that. Its just what if the chosen one some kind of disease, my father would get sick easily so he retired." I made an 'o' with my mouth for understanding.
"So, is that it?" I asked him.
"Pretty much. You can't seriously be expecting me to tell you my whole life story. I'm not that kind of a blabbermouth." He pouted. He turned his head right to see the people around us walk by. "How about you then?"
"Nothing much seriously." I said. He took his arm which was around me away with a face that seems that he can't believe what he was hearing.
"What do you mean nothing? Dude, you befriended Jake that's something!" He was throwing his arms out.
"Is it really a big deal?"
"Heck yeah!" We stopped walking because he grabbed both of my shoulders then begun shaking me. "Do you know he's really cold when I met him." He let fo of me then we started walking again.
"He wasn't when I met him." He grunted.
"Because that was when you guys were younger. Now everytime someone walks up to him he would smile then he would leave them alone. Talk about rude." I laughed at his remarks. "What's so funny Eri?"
"Because the way you talk seems to be from experience." He turned red suddenly.
"Well, he did, did that to me." He ran up to my front stopping me from my track. "But now we're best of friends, with the exception of Khyle. Jake's obsessed with Khyle."
I didn't noticed that the building I was living at was already right in front of me.
"Thank you very much for the wonderful time Henry, but I need to go now." I bowed then he bowed as well. I walked to the entrance of the building but got held back by someone. I turned around to see someone blonde.
"Skyler?" I asked. She gripped harder my wrist resulting me to flinch. "Gosh what's wrong?! Just tell me what you want!" I screamed.
"Why did you left me there all alone. You are such a traitor!" She shouted back at me.
"Dude, I thought you already left so I also left that place." She wimpered then hugged me suddenly.
"I'm sorry." I patted her head.
"It's okay." I mumbled. She released from the hug.
"Yah! Everything's alright?" Henry said while running to my side. I nodded. Maybe I should introduce Skyler to Henry.
"Skyl- wait where is she?" I turned to look for Skyler but she was gone. "Did she ran when she saw you?" I said. Henry grabbed my wrist.
"Who exactly?" Henry said with eyes full of curiosity.
"Skyler Jane, she was right here a moment ago." I said. Henry's face seemed to become blank.
"Eri, you were alone screaming into mid-air. I was worried so I came back." What the heck is he saying?
"Henry, maybe she just ran off to neverland when she saw you. Thank you for worrying about me anyway." He smiled.
"Maybe I should stay for the night at your place." Henry said. My eyes suddenly became big. "It's almost 9 pm and your building seems to have only a few people tonight so better to be safe." He entered the building.
"Wait I didn't said you can crash at my place." I said catching up to him.
"You indirectly did." We entered the elevator. "What floor?"
"7, but wait." He pushed the number 7 button, the elevator started moving. "The Johns have the mansion right. Why can't you go home?"
"Because it's raining already Eri so there's no way out." As if on cue, when we got out of the elevator, we heard the rain pouring down.
"Okay but just for tonight." I said then he smiled. We entered my flat, when I noticed there was a pair of unfamiliar shoes at my doorstep.
"Why is he here?" Henry mumbled. "Did you invited him already earlier that's why you were rejecting my offer everytime?" I couldn't answer then Henry just walked to my living room.
I walked also to the living room and there was indeed another person in my flat. How did he even know where I was living when we only saw one another for like 17 seconds.
"Took you long enough."
