Not Your Everyday Life

Okay, let me start this off with my life and the world. For starters, let's just say that there are no more humans in the world. None. Nope. Nada. Sucks to be human now right? Ha, too bad I'm not human. So maybe I'm kinda human, but I have animal genes in me. To be specific, I have bird wings, or angel wings, as some creatures call it. Oh, and I'm not alone. From part snakes, to part wolves, this world has it. And all you humans can blame are yourselves. Yeah, that's right. You caused this. Us. Everything. The extinction of your own kind. It all started when a scientist was being an idiotic human. He decided 'hey! How about I make a cross breed with animals and humans?' and that's how you all died. Yup. Amen.  

You done being shocked yet so I can continue this story? You're not? Well, TOO BAD! 

So, let's begin with my life, shall we? It all started back 13 years ago, when my parents decided to leave me in the care of a school. Not just any school, but a special school. No, not what you humans call 'special' but really special. Long story short, my parents never came back. ... Why are you crying?! It's my life! Anyways, in this world, the children learn to use their animal senses more than their human ones. For example, me being part bird, I can fly, and have fast reflexes. And when you and your 'class,' or so you'd call it, turn 13 then you pick up a companion, and venture out into the wild. As in, never come back. Sad, right? I mean, you humans can't live even a few hours without electronics, so how would you survive? The answer is, you don't. Well, for me, I'm just about to turn 13, and the deal is that a few hours before leaving, we pick up our companions. And by companions, I mean pets. But, not you're everyday pets. These pets can talk, and sometimes get abilities of their own. When you pick them up, they are still little babies, then BOOM! friends for life! No, they can only talk when they are ready, like a few days/ weeks. So, now that you are aware of my situation, let's begin the story, shall we?
