:Aya's POV:

The man was even angrier when I didn't respond. Again, not a good decision. He was just about to pierce the spear through me when another man's voice came up behind me. Only this time, his voice was much kinder, and younger. My age, maybe?

"Dad, put the spear down. This is a guest to our village." The male calmly said

"But-" The man said

"No. A guest is a guest, father." The male ordered more sternly. The man with the spear drooped it, and walked away in shame. 'Huh,' I thought. 'So this is how parents are treated these days; bossed around by their kids? I always thought they were treated like teachers.' I was snapped out of my thoughts by the male behind me talking. I slowly turned around, to find a boy about my age with light brown hair and bright green eyes.

"I'm sorry about my Dad. He just doesn't like many people, especially humans." He said, looking at his feet.

"Human?!? Me?!?! No way!!!" I said, sounding offended.

"Then, sorry to ask, but what are you?" He asked, his eyes meeting mine. Instead of responding with words, I simply just carefully took off my hoodie (careful not to wake the sleeping kitten (How did he sleep through this? I don't know)) exposing my dark wings.

:David's POV:

This strange girl didn't reply to my question, and instead took off her hoodie. (I noticed a small little lump in the hood, but it didn't look too important) At first, I was just plain confused. Then, I looked at her black angel wings that sparkled in the sunlight. My jaw dropped. She just looked at the ground smiling, probably knowing my reaction.

My question was, why was she here?

:Aya's POV:

I just kept smiling stupidly at the ground, knowing that he would probably have a very shocked face. Its not like its a big deal or anything, but you know, I just met this guy, and I don't even know this guy's name for crying out loud! After about a minute, he finally spoke.

"Wow." Was all he said 'Very descriptive' I thought sarcastically.

"Sooooo...." I said slowly, trying to get him to speak

"What are you doing in our village, anyway?" he asked out of the blue, shuffling his feet

"Oh, I'm not staying, don't worry. Just passing through." I replied

"Really? To where?" He asked

"To be honest, I have no idea. Save the world, maybe?" I said, the last part a little sarcastically. He chuckled a little at my joke, then after processing what I had just said or something,

his ears perked up, his eyes wide with excitment.

"Can I come!?!?!" He asked excitedly, with pleading eyes

"I don't know..." 'A partner?'

"PLEASE?!?!?! I'll be your best friend!" 'Meh, what could go wrong?'

"Fine! We're leaving tomorrow, be ready." I said, kinda annoyed

"Partners?" He asked, sticking his hand out

"Partners." I replied, shaking his hand and smiling
