:Momiji's POV:

'I'm sure they won't care if I leave, right? I mean, they barley even know me.' I told myself as I was packing some portable food in my backpack. I will be leaving in a few hours, or at least until the moon rises in the sky. I've always liked the moon, it makes me feel save. Wrath nudged my side bringing me out of my world, and indicating that someone was coming. I dived to my bed just in time to see the ruler of this strange place stand proudly before me.

"Hello Momiji, hello Wrath." he greeted, attempting to pet Wrath as my companion just snapped his jaws at his hand as a warning. I tried my best not to laugh at the man's horrified reaction.

"Hi" was all I could say to him. He was really weird, from his creepy smile to how his black eyes darted around the room whenever I said anything. He was definitely hiding something, I just don't know what yet. I probably won't end up knowing, unless there is the answer stamped one someone's forehead before nightfall.

Oh well, what could mice people do? I could probably take down the whole town within about a few minutes. Yeah, its either I'm really bad-ass and buff, (which is always an option) or that the people here can't do anything. Probably both.

*Hours Later*

Ugh, I finally got that dude to leave. It felt like hours of him thanking me, even though I'm pretty sure it had only been about 15 minutes. Meh, who needs time anyway? I was just about to leave this boring place when I heard something move behind me. I immediately turned around, ready to fight just in case when I saw a little mouse child in ragged- clothing. To some it up, she looked horrible. What made matters worse is that she looked about 9. Her blondish- brownish hair was all frizzy, and her green eyes showed many emotions. The one that stood out the most was fear.

"I- i'm sorry. P- please don't hurt m- me." she pleaded. I couldn't be nice to someone, even if she was only a child.

"Why are you here? And whats your name?" I demanded, then realizing that was the wrong move because the strange child began to cry.

"S-s-s-s-s-h-h-h-h" I shushed her "Its alright. Just please don't cry." To be honest, I can't stand it when people cry. If you'e evil or not, if you cry, I will show a little sympathy. Its just my thing. I was taken back when the mouse child hugged me. After a few moments, I hugged back.

"Ellie" She mumbled into my shirt

"Okay, why are you crying, Ellie?" I asked her after calming her down

"*sniff* My mommy and daddy don't want me anymore." She replied sadly

"And what would make you think that?" I asked in curiosity.

"They said that no one will ever love me and I'm better off alone 'cause I'm different." the child whimpered pointing to her dark ears that didn't exactly match her hair, but looked cute. I soothingly stroked her hair and ears as she talked. 'Wow. Parents suck!' I thought as anger consumed my emotions. I may not remember my parents but I don't think parents are supposed to act like that, let alone to a child.

Before I knew it, Ellie fell asleep in my arms. I sighed, knowing that I couldn't just leave her here. I mean, she has no- one. The sun was going to rise sooner than later, so I didn't have much time.

"Come on, Wrath. Lets go." I told the wolf. He gave me a questioning look, then glancing at the small mouse child as if asking about her. Man, this wolf is smart. Ignoring his weird looks for the child, I picked her and my supplies up, and began walking out of the castle, never looking back.
