It was the next day an I had to get ready for school. I walked downstairs to see my mum left a note. Probably saying she went to work. I just walked to the kitchen and made myself some breakfast. Then I heard a pull up. Which was strange. First of because the girls always come later. And I was the only house nearby the woods. I opened my door, to see....
Shay?

"Hey Nessa"

" what are you doing here? I didn't invite you to come" I said to him, once again in a rude tone.

" well I decided to take you to school"

" I already have a ride, but thanks for the offer" I was about to close the door until he said.

" your ride has been canceled"

" what?"

" I told you friends I wanted to take you" I kind a felt happy that someone cares for me. At least I hope he does.

" well I am not finished yet"

" that's cool, may I wait inside"

" whatever, come in"
He sat at the kitchen counter.

" I am gonna change quickly"

" okay" he said.

When I finished I walked downstairs to smell something. I walked quickly to the kitchen to see shay making food.

"I made you breakfast. When you invited me in I saw that you were half way through making it. So I decided to finish it"

I gave him a smile. But this time it was not fake and he returned one to me.
I sat at the counter. And he brought the plate towards me. And he then sat next to me and looked at his phone while I was eating.
After I was done. We walked towards his car and drive towards school. I excited his car, making sure there was Veronica. And there wasn't. I walked through the doors and walked to my locker. Then shay came up to me.

" so I was wondering if you and me should-"

" no"

" what? Why?"

" listen me and you might be friends In a way outside school. But in school. I don't want to stand out. And if people see you with me, people will be non stop talking about us. So just don't talk to me in school. Okay? We don't know each other." I slammed my locker and walked off.

After school was over. I saw shay standing there and walking towards me .

" schools over, and I am giving you a ride"

" you will never stop trying, won't you?"

" guess not. Now here." He said handing me a scarf.

" why?"

" to hide you when we get into my car. You don't want to be seen with me right?"

I smiled and rapped the scarf around my head to hide my face. Me and shay walked really fast towards his car and stepped in.
This car ride was not silent. We talked about video games. And other random stuff.

I arrived home.

" thanks for the ride."

" anytime, I was wondering if you wanted to go hang out with me on Saturday.

"Will your friends be there?"

" no"

" will Veronica be there?"

" no" he smiled.

" will we have a fun time?"

" hopefully, yes"

" then yes"

" okay, I will pick you up at 7pm. Is that cool?"

" whatever. See yo later freak"

"See ya"

I walked in my house to see my mum.
I saw the look on her face and shook my head, no. She wanted to talk about me and shay. And honestly I wasn't bothered. Me and shay were becoming closer I guess. But I still hate his guts. I might act nice around him sometimes because he seems like a good friend. But sometimes I act mean because he is a freak, a cute freak. Wait! Did I just call him cute? No,no,no I can't and I didn't. I am just tired I need to rest.
