The Alpha's Mate

Chapter 2

After 5 hours of driving we finally pulled up to an iron gate that was set in the middle of a forest. My dad rolls down the window of the four by four and presses a button to the side.

The speaker crackles as a deep voice comes to life. "How may we help you?"

"It's Alpha Dax, I'm here...."

"No need to carry on, once the gates are open, drive up the driveway to the house in front."

The speaker crackled again, as if it was dying off.

The Iron gates in front of us, began to open, there hinges groaning at the weight. My dad drove the car forward up the long drive way. On both sides of the road, there were trees which reached higher than I had seen before.

Soon we pulled up to a clearing in front of us there was a huge house, surrounding it in a circle was a ring of other smaller houses however each of the smaller houses were huge, the main house towered over the others, with its 5 floors and numerous windows. There was a decking out front which opened up to the large patch of grass that we were currently facing.

"Okay guys were here."

Jason jumped out the car. "Thank god, my legs were beginning to cramp."

"You're not the only one." I said climbing out of the back of the throwing my backpack onto my back and straightening out my hair.

"Rylan put your bag back in the car."

"But why?" I said looking directly at him; even though he was Alpha I felt his nervousness under my gaze.

"Because it's polite and we are here to make a good impression."

I groaned but threw my bag back into the car. Jason swung his arm round my shoulder as we followed my father up to the huge house.

We knocked, once, twice. A boy about the age of 15 opened the door. "who are you and how can I help?" He said politly, he was clearly very nervous.

"Jake move out the way," an older boy said shoving the small boy aside. "Alpha Dax, nice to see you again."

"You to, beta George." My father replied. I decided to get my phone out of my pocket, looking through my news feed on facebook.

"Follow me sir," My father and mother followed the older guy down the hall. But not before George turned around and face us.

"You two can make your way to the game room if you want?"

"Sure, it's probably better than whatever you lot are doing inside the office."

My dad turned around. "Rylan watch that attitude."

"Sure dad, I'll just be your quiet girl in the corner." Sarcasm laced my voice.

He shot a glare at me as he walked off down the corridor.

I looked at Jason and burst out laughing, "you really do piss him off." He said through fists of laughter.

"Well guessing here that we have the Alpha's Daughter and her mate." George said walking over.

I looked at Jason at the same time he looked at me and we both burst into more fits of laughter.

"Me mates with her." Jase said, or at least attempted to say.

George who earlier looked rather proud of himself now looked confused to say the least.

"Jason here is the beta's son who is also my best friend." I said still laughing at what George has said.

"Oh," He replied quietly. "Well I best show you guys to your rooms, you have about 3 hours till the ceremony and I'm guessing you will want to get ready." He said looking directly at me with a judgemental eye.

This made me laugh even more, you would be lucky if I took 30 minutes to get ready, let alone 3 hours.

"Sure." Jason said as we both followed George out of the door.

I grabbed my bag from the back of the car first, swinging the two straps on my shoulders. George had my mum's and dad's luggage and was already walking back to the house, Jase was following close behind.

I pulled my duffel bag out the boot, and shut it. Swinging it over my shoulder I followed Jason and the guy up the stairs. We were soon showed a room with 2 single beds and a large flat screen tv which hung on the wall. There was an en suite bathroom, and a walk in closet.

"I hope you enjoy your stay and I will see you downstairs at 8." George said closing the door, most likely going to take my parents stuff to their room.

"Well this is a bit shit," Jase said trying to open the window. "I do like the grounds though."

"I know what you mean, are you up for some training now?" I asked.

"As much as I want to say yes, we have that ceremony to get to and even if you don't wanna make yourself look good I certainly do."

I laughed at him as I threw my bags on my bed. Pulling out my ipod and speaker I put on fall out boy and began to throw my clothes in the closet. Jase, had already gone in the shower.

I looked at the dress that Jase had picked. It was currently lying on my bed. It was short, but it looked amazing.

I decided to try it on.

The material clung to my body, showing all the right curves and hiding all the wrongs one, the dress made my boobs stand out, and made my waistline look small. It was not at all slutty and paired with an old pair of combat boots it would look great.

I pulled the dress off, hanging it up on a hanger. I pulled on an oversized T-shirt. Because I had already had a shower that morning I decided that I looked okay. However I took of my makeup and re did it so that my wings on my eyeliner were neat. My wavy hair blonde hair rested down my back. When I was happy with how I looked, I checked the clock behind me.

6:59.

I decided that I would lie on the bed and watch something on TV until it was time to go.
