"Don't look so doom and gloom, she'll just spend the whole day either sleeping or playing with the cutie and not even recognise you are gone then, when you return, everything will be happy and merry." Okita chimes as he saunters in front of us as he try's to reassure me even though, by the look on the others faces, they need some comfort too.
"I suppose but she looked so sad and my heart was breaking. Eugha, I could hug her forever," sighed Shinpachi, resting an arm on an equally reflective Harada that joined in sighing with him. "Hopefully she's alright, I miss her already," sighed Heiskue throwing his arms in the air. "That's it," adds Heiskue,"I don't care what you think, I'm going back, bye!" He begins storming back until Saito and Kondo grab his collar, yanking him back in his stance. "Would you shh, Hijikatas affected more than all of you," hushes Okita, thinking I couldn't hear him. "Let's go so we can get back quick," I state as they all nod and join my side to stop the violence.
"Well that was hella messy," chuckles Okita as we begin back to the headquarters nursing scratches and bruises along with various splatters of blood turning our blue uniform into a horrific scene as we walked through the night. We were able to effectively deal with the criminals along with being able to help and rebuild the town that they wrecked, helping repair houses and market stalls. I seen a sweet family with three young children thanking Saito which made me smile. Soon my little family will grow in numbers and I can't help but feel butterflies flutter in the pit of my stomach with excitement at the thought. I can picture it now, the twins running with Lalia as I hug Chizuru, watching them playing peacefully.
"Ah, Earth to demon Vice Commander." Okita knocks on the back of my head as we come into the headquarters only to see a figure walk towards us. "Senhime?" I ask as I see her face against the candle light she was holding to aid her vision against the darkness of the night. "Quickly! I was just about to go get you!" She grabs my arm as she runs me up to Chizuru's room. I was so lost in thought I was unaware with her tight grip and the men trailing behind.
She stops in front of the door before turning to me, well us.
"It's not good."
