Okita POV
So I will leave and I will not return. Those kids barley knew him so it'll be easy in that sense to move on. Brute was more of a guardian than he ever was!"
"Chizuru, yea he's horrible but can you not stay here, with us?" The pleading that lined Yamazakis voice tugged at all our heartstrings.
"I'll kill him when I see him," cursed Heisuke as he wrapped his hands into a tight fist.
"What's the use? He'll just cut you down and feel proud about it," commented Chizuru as she dried her soaked face from the tears.
"Where are you going to go though, Chiz? Back home?"
"No. I sold that house before I came back here as I'd seen property in closer proximity to this compound and wanted to surprise him but now I think of it, I was doing everything for him and wasn't thinking about the kids, how terrible of a mother am I!"
That was untrue, Chizuru is the best mother that I've ever seen, bypassing my own. She was the most naturally caring individual I've ever seen not to mention  that she played both mother and father role throughout the children's short lives.
I Remember a time when Chizuru refused to go to bed as Lalia said there were monsters. She sat the whole night, trying to reason with the unreasonable, sprinkle water around the room saying that monsters are allergic to water so this will drive them out.
"That's why he had us live so far away, so he wouldn't see us! Oh I'm so stupid."
Each of us were suddenly hit with realisation at that. Saitos face lit with anger along with everyone else's whilst I was only hurt. Why would he do that to her and those amazing kids that are a privilege to call his? Chizuru has done everything for that man. Anything he requested, consider it done by her. I can't help feel upmost sadness for Chizuru, she doesn't deserve to be treated so lowly as if she doesn't matter.
"You should all go to bed, it's late."
At her request, they leave whilst Saito and I remain. We decided to ignore her just this once as best friends don't ditch best friends in need.
"What will I do, I'm scared," she whispered as the tears began flowing again.
"Chiz, we can help you out," said Saito to which I nodded to agree.
"How will you guys help?"
