DING! DING! DING! The monotonous ring of the bell sounded throughout Orchid Fields High, sending the message that school had started.

What was up with Officer Wada today? Why did he have a scratch on his left cheek? Nicole thought to herself as she walked towards her locker.

Flip-flops and sneakers shuffled on the linoleum floor and painted on. fresh new scuff marks

Nicole stopped at her locker, only then to realize that she didn't need anything for the last day. Being the person she was, Nicole brought all her stuff home on Friday.

Way to go me! Nicole thought to herself. Now I won't have to bring home anything!

Walking into homeroom, she noticed the overly excited students bouncing in their seats. She then looked at Lucy. Being Lucy, she was reading a book quietly.

"Hello Lucy! What's the book this time?" Nicole asked.

Lucy looked up for a moment and said "The Outliers," before burying her nose in the acclaimed book once more.

"Listen, I have something to tell you. It's important to the investigation," Nicole said.

Lucy glanced up at Nicole again for a brief second. "Alright, but can it wait until we meet for lunch after school? I have a feeling today is going to be interesting,"

Nicole considered this for a moment before responding, "Okay! That sounds great! We all know that we're going to the diner, right?"

"Yes we do. Vera was off the wall this morning. She said she had discovered something very important," Lucy replied.

"Well, I suppose it will have to wait until after school," Nicole said, just as the bell rang.

Walking to her Algebra II Honors Class, she kept that thought of Officer Wada in the back of her head. His last name is Wada, and his first name is Samuta. Could his middle name be part of the SJW? Or is he the leader?

Nicole stepped into her classroom, only to be greeted by her favorite teacher, Mr. Walker. A man of about 30, he still kept his pep even after he was abandoned by his parents when he was only 10 years old.

"Hello Miss Nicole!" Mr. Walker greeted at the door.

Nicole responded with a smile and a cheerful "Hello!"

"Last day of school, you ready?" Mr. Walker asked.

"Always! Who's not?" Nicole said.

Mr. Walker patted Nicole on the shoulder. "But don't forget to visit me next year!"

"You know I will!" she replied as she sat in her assigned seat rather quickly.

The day seemed to drag by like a slug trying to move in water. (A/N: Try and imagine that. It's not very fast, I assure you.) High schoolers were restless in their seats, jiggling their legs like a major earthquake has just hit them. Nicole stifled a laugh at their chemistry teacher's antics, as he managed to combine the chemicals, and get a rather strange reaction. By that, she meant him getting blue foam all over his jacket.

After for what seemed like 2 minutes, the last day of school came to a close. Before Nicole could get on the bus, she felt a tap on her shoulder, only to see Mr. Walker and Officer Wada standing behind her.

"Have a nice summer, Nicole! Who knows, we might see each other very soon. Where I'm vacationing isn't very far from here," Mr. Walker said.

"Same here Nicole! I have to do some work, but, maybe I'll see you and Rachel soon!" Officer Wada said, leaving with Mr. Walker.
