Chapter 26 - Bringing the twins home / talking about a new one

Mason's POV

We pulled up in the drive way James and Aiden were excited to have a home and be big brothers. Niall put the car in park, got out, shutting his door opening the back passenger where James was sitting.

"Alright James lets go inside, you ready big man?"

James laughed as Niall got him out of the car handing him his little book bag letting James put it on. James looked at the house in awe waiting for Niall and I to tell him to go in. Niall got Keilynn and her diaper bag out shutting the door behind him.

I got Aiden out handing him his book bag letting him put it on. He looked up at me with a little nervous  look on his face. I kneeled down in front of him,

"It's okay, Aiden. Let's go inside. James, Niall, and Keilynn are already in there."

He grabs my hand holding on tight to it as we walk inside. When we get inside I close the door behind me, feeling Aiden tense up. I look down at him and see tears brimming in his eyes.

"No, no, no, go back." Aiden tells me looking up at me backing towards the door.

"Aiden, baby, you're okay. I promise, it's going to be okay." I hold my hands out to him letting him wrap his arms around my neck and cry. I sit down in the floor by the door with Aiden in my arms as I start to try to calm him down. I hear James laughing along with Niall as they come downstairs. Niall was about call my name when he spotted me sitting with Aiden. James walked over to us along with Niall.

"Aiden, you okay?" James asked Aiden sitting down beside me.

Aiden didn't say anything to James, he kept crying. I looked at Niall to see his face soften, he picks up James and sets him in his lap as he sits down beside me. Aiden lifts his head from my shoulder looking at me. His face was red, tears running down his cheeks, and eyes red.

"Don't leave me?" Aiden asks me in a soft voice.

I wanted to cry, poor baby. I hold back my tears to answer him.

"I will never leave you. I promise. I will never leave you, James, Niall, or Keilynn."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

Aiden comes close to my face lays his head on my chest looking up at me. His red face was now back to normal, I take my thumb and wipe his cheeks. I look at Niall and James, seeing James in the same position as Aiden. Niall smiles at me putting his forehead on mine kissing my nose. I smile and place a soft kiss on his lips. He wraps his arm around me looking down at Aiden and James.

"Love you." Aiden looks up at me and whispers.

I feel a few tears run down my cheek. I had prepared myself that they wouldn't say those words for a while, even though I wanted to say them right when I met them.

I felt Aiden and James both hug me, Niall kissed the top of my head.

"Why sad tears?" James asked me.

I didn't want to open my mouth to talk because I knew I'd cry more.

"She's not sad little man. Those are happy tears." Niall said. Aiden reached up wiping my cheeks like I did his. I laugh a little, he lets a smile appear on his cute face.

" I love you too. Both of you, so much." I tell Aiden and James.

LATER THAT NIGHT

Both the boys have had a bath and are now asleep in their room. Keilynn was asleep in her crib after crying her eyes out for an hour. Niall and I are sitting on the couch no TV, just us.

"Hey Mase, do you really think we should adopt another baby?"

"Ni, I think we should. You heard Lynn, he's been there since he was born. No baby should have to go through that."

"I know, baby, but do you think we can handle a 1 month old, a 5 month old, and 4 year old twin boys?"

"I think we can.....honestly."

"Mason, I think we should wait and see how we're doing in a month before we adopt the baby."

"Fine...." I was a little aggravated that he said that. I got up walking upstairs in mine and Niall's bedroom getting in the bed.
