Chapter 14- Back Home

NIALLS POV

I woke up not feeling Mason beside me. I looked around the room and saw Mase sitting in the plush chair holding Keilynn. Kei started to fuss and squirm. I got out the bed and walked over to them. I lean down and gave Kei a kiss on her nose, then I gave Mase a kiss on her lips.

"Good morning babies"

"Good morning love."

I kneeled down beside the chair eye level with Kei.

"Hey sweet pea, what's the matter? Why is daddies baby girl crying?" I started to wipe the tears off her cheeks. I place my hand lightly on her tummy, she screamed louder. Mase looked at me and I began to wonder if the onesie was scratching her scar that was on her tummy from the wreck.

"Mason, baby lay her down on the bed for a minute."

Mason laid her down. I slowly and carefully take off the onesie, but when I get to the part of the onesie that was covering her scar I saw blood. Mason sat on the bed trying to distract Keilynn. I slowly peal the onesie off. The nurse told us that Kei's scar shouldn't bleed like it is. Humph, I wonder what made this happen.

"Hey baby, is everything okay?"

"Babe, her scar is bleeding."

"What!!?? How did that happen? It's not suppose to happen. This wasn't suppose to happen. What do we do?"

Mason was freaking out at this point, Keilynn wasn't screaming, she let out a few whimpers. I made sure Kei wouldn't fall off the bed, then walked around the bed towards Mason. I pulled her into my chest. She sat there and cried. My shirt was becoming wet from her tears, but I didn't mind. I sat there until Mase calmed down. She lifted her head off my chest, I took the pad of my thumb and wipped the tears off her cheeks. She turned towards Keilynn and looked at her, Kei looked back at her mommy and started to babble. Mase smiled and picked her up. She grabbed Masons finger and smiled for the first time.

"Oh my gosh!! Ni she just smiled! Eek! Her first smile!"

"I saw baby! She's so cute!"

We sat there for what felt like forever. Just me and my two favorite girls. Keilynn kept smiling at different times when Mase or myself would baby talk to her.

"Hey baby, are you ready to go home?"

"Yes, I'm ready to get home. I'm going to take a shower. Are you okay with watching Kei?"

"Yes babe, I'll be fine."

I took Kie from Mason and started to change her. I could hear Charlie & Kim downstairs talking. I put Keilynn in a baby pink onesie that said "Daddy's Girl". I didn't bother putting socks on her tiny feet. I put on a soccer t shirt. I picked up Keilynn and walked down stairs to Chalie and Kim.

"Good morning Niall. How are you this morning?"

"Good morning. I'm good, Kim. How are you?"

Keilynn started babbling and kicking her little legs.

"Oh, whats that matter with you baby girl? Huh are you up set that Nana didnt say Good morning you to?"

Charlie started to laugh, and Keilynn smilled.

"Are you smilin' at pa paw baby?"

"When did she start to smile?"

Kim turned around with an exciting look knowing that her grandaughter can smile.

"This morning auctually. Mason and I were sitting on the bed talking, Keilynn was laying beside us. All Mase did was look at her and Kei smiled."

"How cute! You're just to cute baby girl!"

Keilynn reached out for Kim and Kim took her. The three of us sat down at the round dining table. Keilynn started to fuss, I looked at the stove clock to see what time it was. Yep, it was her feeding time again. I got up and walke over to Kim.

"Oh baby girl what's the matter love?"

"It's feeding time, isn't it baby girl."

I walked up to the guess room where all of our stuff was. I walked in the room and grabbed the baby bag, i looked through it grabbing a bottle with baby formula. I go back to the kitchen and get Keilynn's bottle ready. I heated it in the microwave. Once it was done I tested it on my wrist to make sure it was the right temp. I sat down at the table, adjusted Keilynn in my arms. Once I put the bottle in her mouth she started to drink it right away. Charlie, Kim, and myself kept talking. I heard the shower cut off, Mase came downstairs and sat beside me.

"Good morning bugg! How are you this morning?"

"Good morning Charlie! I'm good."

"Sleep well Mase?"

"I did mom. How about you?"

"I slept well thank you."

The four of us just sat and talked. We told Charlie and Kim we are going to head home. Mason & I went upstairs and pack our stuff, while Charlie played with Keilynn. Mase & I got done packing. We headed downstairs, mason carried the baby bag and Keilynn's car seat, and I carried my book back with Mason's purse. Kim & Charlie said their goodbyes to Keilynn. Charlie handed Kei over to me. Mase said her goodbyes to her parents, I put Keilynn in her car seat. I said goodbye to Kim & Charlie. Mason had put the bags in the trunk of my car. I picked up Keilynn's car seat and we headed to my car. Once I got Keilynn in the car, Mason got in the passenger seat and I shut her door. I walked around to the drivers side and jumped in. I started the car and we headed back home. Mason fell asleep right when we got on the interstate. I looked in my review mirror at Keilynn, both of my girls we're sleeping. They're both so cute. I love my girls.
