Emma and the town (once upon a time/agents of shield fanfic)

Chapter 7

I landed in New York. my mom had takin me on the Rainbow bridge from the enchanted forest to our world.

"Mom why did u bring me here?" I ask worried something could be wrong with my dad.

"Emma and Henry are in some trouble. I can't really explain because I wasn't supposed to get you. I've enrolled u in Henry's school in his class. befriend him. It's just down the road. You have the same name but your 13 and in 8th grade. I love you sweetheart, one day you'll see that what I did was for the best." then she disappeared in a streak of light.

If it was something to do with Henry and Emma I would go. now knowing the truth of my past made me feel like I should protect them. but first I had to call my dad. it had been 7 months since I left and I owed it to him.

"Dad, its Emma, I'm sorry I haven't been home. I found an old friend of mine and I was catching up with him and lots of stuff happened. I'm on a mission now, lets call it level 11. I can't explain but I'll come home soon. I love you dad. bye." I leave as a message because he didn't answer. a tear rolls down my cheek. I wipe it away and start off towards Henry's school.

"Hello students," a fat lady, the principle, says to a room full of 8th graders. "this is Emma James. she's an exchange student from England. she's traveled all over the world with her mom but has found herself  at our school for a time. welcome her with the kindness I know all of you posses some where inside you." then she leaves.

"Welcome, Emma," the teacher of the class says. she's a blond woman mid 30's. I smile. "why don't you take a seat next to our other new student Henry swan." she says pointing me towards him.

"Hi, I'm Henry. welcome to our school. if you need help getting around I'll be glad to help." he says smiling at me. "Emma." I say shaking his hand.

"Mrs. Hammer really likes to talk." I say to Henry after school. "yeah, she's always been like that from what I hear." Henry pauses then asks. "are you doing anything today?" "um, no i don't think so. why?" I answer. "well my mom won't be home till late because she's working, and I um, I was wondering if you wanted to come over? I know it's hard to find stuff to do here when your new." he tells me. "sure." I say and we walk off towards his apartment.

"Well this is it." he says as we walk thru the door. "whoa! you have an Xbox? it's been forever since I last played an Xbox!" I say throwing my coat down and running to look at it. they don't exactly have these in the enchanted forest.

"Yeah. you want to play?" He asks me. "of course!" I exclaim, grabbing a remote as he turns it on.

We play the Xbox for hours. then Emma walks through the door.

"Oh! hello. I wasn't expecting company. Henry who's this?" Emma says. "this is Emma James. she's a new student at my school." Henry explains to her. Emma smiles at me. I get that as her way of saying please leave so I say. "well it is very nice to meet you miss Swan. I should go. thanks for inviting me over Henry." I say and walk out the door.

I go to a hotel and get a room. I start thinking about life, my Mom, my S.H.I.E.L.D training, and eventually I fall asleep. that pulls me into Dreams which lately have been about flashbacks and my past.

I sit alone in a room waiting for Furry to come in and give me my mission. my first mission! I'm so excited that my breathing is ragged and I feel like I could puke.

Ok so I was nervous. Nat had been preparing me for this since I was 5. I knew ever word I was supposed to say, every move to make, and most importantly every life I was going to save.

"Good morning, miss James." I hear as the door opens. a tall dark skinned man with no hair and an eye patch walks in saying the words.

I've seen Furry many times but the scars around his eye where he has his eye patch still makes me shiver.

"Morning director. How are you today?" I ask him with a smile. Me and Furry have been best buds since nat found me in a ditch. he has told me hundreds of times about how he would have adopted me but nat got there first.

"Emma, are you ready?" I nod. "here is what you have to do. agent 15 is in trouble and needs an out. your 9 no one will see you as a threat. you'll go in, get her out, and make it back alive. I can't help much but, promise you'll come back? agent 15 fate is in your hands. your the only one who can do this. if not I'd send someone else."

"I know Furry. I'll come back. I promise!"

My alarm was going off. time to get up and go about my day. The highlight was I got to see Henry at school.

I showered, got dressed in a nice shirt and some pants, grabbed my back pack, and checked out of the hotel.
