Chapter 10

It was a few weeks ago. The last time I visited with Coulson. It was nice going on the weekends to visit him just telling the Swans I was going to a friends. But he had gone out of control.
   Ward was still on the lose. They had been searching for him for so long, which I really didn't mind. Until Ward shot a lady Coulson was starting to love.
   After that the hunt for ward became a manhunt. All Coulson wanted was revenge.
   I was over visiting the team and Coulson started yelling at me. I didn't feel safe. The rage in him from not being able to find ward reminded me of the rage my mother had. I know Coulson was just stressed. I don't hold it against him. But he was really scaring me.
   "Dad please, stop yelling!" A said to him. But he just kept going. I tried to calm him down and then he just hit me.
    I ran out the door tears in my eyes. "Emma? What's wrong? What happened?" Daisy called to me, but I  didn't answer her questions.
   "I'm not coming back until you'll get Ward Daisy. I just can't deal with Coulson acting like this." And I leave.

   "Emma, Emma? What happened? Why did you pass out like that?" I wake up to hook standing over me shaking me lightly.
   "I just fell into a memory." I explain "like the ones from the Enchanted Forest." I pause. "But much more resent."
    "Well are you good now? Miss Swan could be here any minute. You should go." He says to me.
   "How long was I out? What time is it?!" I question almost shouting.
  "10:30 you've been out almost 3 hours. I almost went to find the police. But I know you don't like them. Also I remember how you passed out like that in the Forest."
   "Well thanks. I'm late for school though. Ugh... I've got to go. Bye Hook!" I yell back running towards the road. "Taxi!!" A cab pulls up and I hop in.
   Then my phone starts to ring. "Hello? This is Emma James speaking." I say. This phone is my work phone so it has to be Shield.
   "Emma? It's Coulson, he's gone crazy. He killed Ward!" A frantic voice says back to me.
   "Daisy? I'll be right there." I say and hang up the phone.
  "Girl! Where to?" The cab driver says to me.
   "136 east Callie road."
   "That's an abandoned building. Why would you go there? Shouldn't you be in school?"
   "I'm a federal agent. Take me where I said to go!" I demand.
   "Yes ma'am." He says mocking me. I roll my eyes and the cab takes off.

I get to the "abandoned" wearhouse and wait. This is the normal pick up place for the team when we get separated in the city. 
   A black SUV pulls up and May gets out. "Emma, glad you came. Ready to go?"
   "May, good to see you, too. Life's pretty great with the Swans. Thanks for asking." I pause as she chuckles. "Definitely didn't miss your 'cut to the chase' personality."
   "I missed you Emma. The others try but their sarcasm will never be as great as yours." May says smiling really big as she pulls me into a hug.
   "We better get going. I think the can driver called the cops." And with that we get in the car and head off.
  Why was I even going with her? I really didn't want to see Coulson again.

    "Hey Emma." Coulson says to me. I don't make eye contact with him and just keep talking to other people, but they all stop and stare.
   "Emma I'm sorry. I never should have slapped you like that, I just- I wasn't thinking." He stutters out.
   "You weren't thinking?!?" I say practically yelling as I stand up. "You know what I e been through. You know I still have PTSD from what mom did to me. I DON'T EVEN TRUST HER, WHY WOULD YOU THINK I TRUST YOU?" I am yelling now. How could he do that to
me.  
"COULSON I HAVE TRUST ISSUES. I ALWAYS HAVE. I STARTED TO TRUST YOU THOUGH. I EVEN CALLED YOU DAD!" The lights all burst at the same time causing a black out in the room. Or maybe it was that I blacked out.
   The next thing I know I'm coming back with the emergency red lights flashing, Coulson on the ground looking like he's in pain, and everyone looking at me like I have 3 eyes. What did I do? Then I remember something from the enchanted forest. "Emma, Rumple made you leave because you have powers. And he feared you." Regina had told me.
  "I...I don't know what just happened.... I... I'm sorry." I stutter out then run to my room and lock my door.

   Three days later the team still isn't treating me normal, except for Daisy. She had gone through the same thing with her inhuman powers and so she was trying to help.
   "So you don't know where these came from?" She questions me.
   "I do but you would never believe me." I say to her.
    "Oh yeah? Try me." She smirks.
   "Well, my moms a maiden goddess. But we where wrong about her just thinking of me and boom there I was. I come from a place called the enchanted forest. Every single story book character you know and love come from there, too.
   "I was born to a woman who, well, was a saloon girl. Anyway some pirate got her pregnant and she went to live with her friend.
   "I was born and the guy who owned her forced her to go back to work. So I grew up with her friend Melaih and her husband Rumplestilskin. They had a son named baelfire and me and him were really close.
   "My mom disappeared for several months though. Turns out she had another kid. But she gave her away. She could barely take care of me, but she loved me to much.
   "Anyway when I was 4 my mom was heading to work and a 'run away Cart' 'killed her' really she married the guy who had been raising my sister and ditched me with her friends.
   "After several years Melaih was killed by a pirate, Rumple went crazy and became what they call The Dark One, and me and bae had to keep a secret relationship because rumple kicked me out. But he made bae a promise. If bae could find a place with no magic they could go together.
   "When the day came to travel to the magicless place rumple chickened out and bae started to fall alone. But I jumped in the portal and we traveled to this world together. We ended up living with a family called the Darlings until Peter Pans shadow came and tried to take the children of that family. Me and bae took their place.
   "We traveled to Neverland and bae fell out of the shadows grasp into the ocean. But I was taken to Pan.
   "Anyway that's another story. I got sent back to the enchanted forest and bae was sent back to our world, but it had been years and years. Everyone we knew had lived and died. But bae's father.
   "My sisters son had had a kid who became a stable boy and he fell in love with the evil queen from the Snow White stories. His name was Daniel. Did I mention mine is Daniella? That's right he was named after me.
   "When his mom died she gave him my dairy. She found out about me when she was 18 and wanted to be friends. I was long gone by then but she found my dairy in the cave I lived in. He read it every day. But when he was killed Regina found it and kept it.
   "She found me on the road the shadow left me on. She told me I looked just like him and asked my name. As soon as I told her she invited me to live with her and she started to train me with my magic powers.
   "But then a goddess showed up with promises I'd see bae again if I just went with her. So I did. What she left out though was she would reset my life basically. All of it because like a dream and I just thought I was Emma James.
  "Even though I met bae again I was only 5 and he was in his 20s. He had a kid even."
   "Wow, kid, you've got an imagination I'll give you that." Daisy said laughing.
   "You seriously think I made that up?" I ask.
