Chapter Nine - She bakes Cupcakes

I just wanted to let you know that this chapter is NOT rated R, it is PG-13.   Something weird with Wattpad and it won't let me change the rating.  It's stuck on R now.   I will always warn you of sexual content.

Chapter Nine

“So Thomas………when are you getting out on parole?” asked Thomas’ brother Derek.  

Smiling his evil smile, Thomas grinned from ear to ear.    “It pays Derek to do what you are told and good things come to you.  Those idiots thinks I’m some reformed Christian man….ha…fooled them!     Probably next month some time.  Have you been following her like I asked?   Where is she now?”  

“Yea Thomas, I’ve been following her.  She’s living in San Diego now, your son is doing well, and she bought herself a house on Baker Street”.  

Thomas could sense that Derek was holding something back and demanding that Derek tell him what he wasn’t saying.  

“Well, um…..she’s moved on.   She’s really cozy with her neighbor, I think they might be lovers actually”.    

“That bitch!   Moved on has she….well now…..she’s going to pay for putting me in jail and she’s going to pay for taking away my son!”  “Hmmmm….I’ll show her.”

A shiver ran down Angie’s spine.   The kids were in school, Josh was at work and she was home alone on one of her days off.   What the hell…..I feel like I’m being watched, I must be going crazy Angie muttered to herself.   Tossing in another load of laundry, and pulling more out the dryer, Angie’s phone started ringing.     That’s odd, that’s my lawyer’s number,  I wonder what he wants.   

“Hey Angie, how are you?”   

“I’m fine Michael, but I’m curious why you are calling?”  

“Are you sitting down Angie, because what I have to tell you isn’t good news” 

“Michael, you are scaring me now, just tell me” 

“Okay, um…..Thomas has been granted parole, as of February 12th.   Apparently he’s getting off for good behavior and for becoming some reformed Christian while being in prison.  The parole board feels that he’s very sorry for what he done to you.”   

“What does that mean Michael, can he take Nicholas from me”.  

“No, he cannot touch Nicholas, you have full custody, he would have to take you court to get any sort of custody and no judge would ever grant an ex-con custody for the charges that he was charged for”.  “ I just wanted you to be aware that after February 12th, he will be out on streets, but he will be restricted to what he can do and cannot do.   He also has to report in to his parole officer by 10 pm every night and he has to live in a specialized housing for those who are on parole”.    “He doesn’t know that you now live in San Diego and let’s hope that he doesn’t find out”.
