As Norman carried Kate home he couldn't help but chuckle at her endless questions.

"Do you not have a car?" She asks another.

Norman sighs. He can't give up too much information. He's already going to be in deep shit for letting Laura get to Kate. He didn't mean to, he was so distracted. He was thinking about what if it was him and Kate watching a movie. Then next thing he knew he heard Kate scream. He would never be able to describe the feeling he felt seeing Laura on top of Kate. He hopes he'll never feel that again.

"No" Norman answers bluntly. He couldn't lie, but he already knew her next question and It would be hard to get out of.

"Then how did you get to a drive in theatre? And where were you sitting?"

Norman again sighed and adjusted Kate so she was more comfortable in his arms. "I was passing by" he lied.

"Oh" Kate mumbled and laid her head down on his chest. "Do you know what that was?" She asks referring to Laura.

"I dont know" he answers.

Kate realizes Norman is walking the exact way to her house without her giving any directions. "Um.. How do you know where I live?"

Norman panics inside. He doesn't know what to say. How can he answer that? "I.. I uh am I friend of your dads" he stutters.

"My dad?.. My dad doesn't talk to anyone.. He works from home and never goes out" Kate says confused. As far as she new, dad had no contacts with anyone other than her. And even some months he would go without talking to her.

"Before" Norman recovers.

Kate nods "oh" she mumbled.
She decided that Norman wasn't going to answer more questions and was probably getting annoyed with her so she decided to stop talking for the rest of the way home.

Truth was Norman could never be annoyed of Kate. He knew she was thinking that and he wanted to tell her she was wrong but he knew he can't give anymore information about him out. No unless her father consented.

"I can walk" Kate says, rolling her head on Normans chest so that she can see his features.

"That's okay" Norman assures and holds Kate to him tightly.

The pair finally reach the house and Normans heart rate started to increase rapidly.

He knew he was in trouble. He just hoped her father wouldn't report him because Norman was afraid of what his punishment would be.

With Kate still in his arms, Norman knocked on the front door. Hands shaking slightly but Kate didn't notice.

Under the porch light she was able to see his features better. Long shaggy brown hair, piercing blue eyes, a small mole. She couldn't help but feel as if she knew this man from somewhere.

The front door opened, revealing Kate's father.

His expression was confused at first, but one glance at Norman and his whole demeanor changed to angry.

"What the fuck happened?!" He barked loudly at Norman, mad at the fact he gave up the secret and his daughter had possibly been harmed.

"Daddy calm down.. He saved me" Kate silences her dad, confused as to why he yelled at Norman.

"We have some talking to do" he growled, not breaking eye contact from Norman.

Norman bowed his head in shame. He couldn't help but feel as if he failed his job. Which in a sense, he did.

Norman carried Kate, who told him several times she could walk, to the kitchen. There, he set Kate on her feet when then she sat down at the table beside her dad.

Norman sat across from them, looking down at his lap and picking at the dirt from underneath his nails.

"Kate.. This is Norman" her father started out simple.

Kate nods her head. "Ok? I know that" she says. She is utterly confused at the strange behavior the two men shared.

"I hired him to protect you since you were seven" her father continues.

Kate's eyes widen. "Wh-what?.... Wait he- ... What?..." She stuttered in shock.

"Ever since our house was set on fire by a so called demon.. I hired this man to protect you at all costs" her father states again, tiny more detail.

"I wanted to keep it a secret so you could have a normal life but someone doesn't know how to do their job!!" Kate's father yells and stands up, slamming his hands on the table.

Norman keeps his head hung, like a sad puppy. "I'm sorry sir" he mumbles truthfully. He hates himself for not being able to protect Kate.

Kate sighs and rubs her face. "So what? He just follows me everywhere?" She asks still confused at the concept.

"Something like that" her dad growls and pulls at the hair on his head stressfully.

"I should report you" he adds pointing at Norman.

Normans head shoots up, his eyes wide with fear. "No no please sir... I'm sorry I promise it won't happen again.. Please please don't turn me in I'm so sorry" Norman begs desperately.

"Wait.. What happens if you get reported?" She asks Norman, wondering why he panicked.

"Don't talk to my daughter" her father says before Norman can reply.

With this man being Normans owner, he has to obey.

"Daddy stop! If he's my protector I should get to talk to him" she begs, she feels bad for the man who hung his head and took the yelling like a ashamed dog.

Her father scoffs and rolls his eyes. "Fine.. You want to be apart of this life go ahead... Have him explain it all to you. How he watches you and whatnot.. Don't ask me any questions and I don't want to her another word from him" he says and walks off without waiting for a reply.

Kate and Norman stay still in the kitchen a moment before one of them finally decides to speak. "Well um.... Want to go to my room and talk?" Kate asks the sad man.

He looks up at her, how her face shows true concern at the man. But also confusion.

Norman nods slightly and stands up and follows her towards her room.

Kate stops infront of a bathroom in the hall. "I have to use the bathroom but my bedroom is the room on the-.... You already know that don't you?" She pauses and asks, forgetting he had only been watching her more than half her life.

"Yeah" norman sighs and nods. He can't help but feel so ashamed. He's also happy because he's getting to talk to her.

Norman goes into her room and sits on her bed. Like he had done many times before but this was different. He hoped this would lead to something good.

Norman waited only a short 2 minutes before he heard Kate's feet pad across the hardwood floor and her beautiful face appear in the room. He tried his best not to stare as he noticed she also changed into a tight form fitting white tank top and work out shorts.

Although Norman wasn't all human, he still got human feelings and emotions. Not just mental either. He would have trouble hiding his attraction towards the girl... In both ways.
