Chapter Three

Dear diary,

10/10/14

It's Friday finally. My second favorite day of the week.

Tonight Jade, Destiny, and I are going to a drive in theatre. We're seeing the movie The Maze Runner. I think it should be good.

I need something to get my mind off everything for a little while. If I don't I'm sure I will lose my mind.

Dad has gone silent again. He won't talk to me or even acknowledge my presence. He does this every few months, even thought it's almost been 11 years

Kate hops off her bed. Happy to finally get to go out and have fun.

She doesn't dress up. She wears her usual of course. Her friends tease her but Kate doesn't care. It's comfy.

Norman smiles at the girl. Happy for her that she's actually happy for right now. It makes him happy that she's happy. Although he's a little nervous. The drive in theater wasn't apart of his territory. Meaning he will be weaker there.. And Laura will be stronger. He just hopes she doesn't show her ugly face there.

Norman notices a car pull into Kate's driver way. It was a black 2014 Camaro. It was jade. She was spoiled rotten.

Norman hopped out of the tree and lingered by the side of the house. His invisibility is his favorite trait.

Destiny and Jade were in the front seats, blasting out to some pop song. That's all Norman ever heard them play. He doesn't like it much. He likes Kate's music. She has the best taste.
They honk their horn and continue to sing.

Norman transports himself to Kate's room, making sure she was ok.

She was quickly applying make up. She had sworn they said 7:00, not 6:15. She brushes her hair quickly and puts into a bun. There was no time to straighten it.

'She's so beautiful' Norman thinks to himself as he watches her from her own bed. If only she knew she was constantly watched. She would freak out.

Finally she finished her makeup and slid her shoes on before running down the stairs and outside to her room.

Norman noticed she had left her bedroom light on since she was in a rush. He made sure to turn it off for her before joining her in the car.

"Hey Kate!" Jade smiles as she turns down the music.

"Hey guys" Kate replies from the back seat, taking a breath from running through her house.

"So our boyfriends are coming" destiny smiles from the front seat. Jade pulls the car out of the driveway and behind the journey to the drive in.

Kate sighs. She hates third wheeling. Or in this case.. Fifth wheeling. It makes her jealous. She wants a boyfriend herself. "Great" Kate mumbles sarcastically.

"Don't worry Katie Bug.. They're bringing their friend for you.. I think his name is Garret" Jade says, in hopes Kate would cheer up.

Norman's heart breaks at the news. He wanted to be with Kate. Even though it would never happen.

He was afraid Kate would end up liking this Garret guy. Norman knew that garret would like Kate. Why wouldn't he? Kate is perfect in Normans eyes.
But Norman also knows that if this garret hurts his girl then he will make his life hell.

Kate smiles "ok" she chirps.

It only took about 15 minutes to get to the drive in. The guys were already there and a couple other people as well that were just watching the same movie. Jade parked the car next to the guys trucks. The each drove separately so it wouldn't be awkward shoving three couples in one bed of a truck.
