Chp 9: Swim

I just wanted to apologize to Julia because I changed my mind on how this chapter's gonna go, so anyways..

Maggie's POV

I stood there like an idiot not knowing what to do next. I was having flashbacks of my ex-boyfriend who was a singer like Liam.

'Flashback

I stood outside the doorway and listened to giggles and smooches coming from inside the room.

"Babe my girlfriends going to be home soon, you should probably go now." I heard a sigh and shuffling then more smooching.

"Hey he's my man! Where the hell did you come from anyways?" So there's two girls in there!?!? I had had enough. I kicked the door open and stomped inside. He was shocked so I took this time to grab my bags and pack my things.

"Wait! Babe don't go it was a mistake! I don't even like these girls." He gestured to the blonde and brunette behind him.

"You know when you disappeared at night and didn't come home until midnight I was confused and thought you just needed some alone time, but now I know what you were doing." I picked up my bags and walked right up to his face.

"You were sticking your tongue down the throats of the these dumb low lifes. It turns out there just like you huh? Well have fun and blondie, you don't have to go home now because his EX-girlfriends leaving." I slapped him across the face and stomped right back out. It wasn't until I was safely three miles out of town that I relized what had just happened causing me to pull my car over and sob. Lucky for me Ruby was coming home from vacation with her parents, she noticed me on the side of the road and imediatley made a u-turn and ran to me (in flipping high heels) I told her my story and since then it's been quite a touchy topic.

End flashback'

I got up and ran outside. I was still wearing my tank top, short shorts, and Liam's sweatshirt. I don't know or care what everyone thought of me. A nice lady in a cab pulled over.

"Are you alright sweety?" she asked. I shook my head and got in. I told her where to go and she did.

"I don't have a lot of money with me so tell me the price and I'll see what I can do, is that okay?" I asked her nervously.

"Actually, could I get a picture instead? I'm familiar with your work and my daughter loves One Direction." She was beaming, so was I. A fan? Of ME? I got up and took a picture with her, she thanked me and I did the same to her. I walked onto the boat and ran to the bathroom. I showered and put on my bathing suit. I slapped my forehead for taking a shower before swimming and unlatched the boat from the dock. I had to find a good swimming spot. I finally found one and got in position to dive in when I heard a noise behind me. I shrugged it off and jumped in...

Ruby's POV

Damn it! She ran off, sure I knew where she was going, but swimming by herself in the first thing in the morning wasn't such a good idea. I grabbed my coat and ran after her, followed by everyone else. I motioned to a taxi, got in and told them to go to the docks. When I got there I threw two twenties over his seat and jumped out. I saw Maggie's towel on the deck. I better hurry, she's going to be back soon. I jumped on and almost screamed. Louis jumped on after me followed by Liam, Harry, Zayn, El, Perrie, and Niall. We ran and hid. I watched as she came out in her bikini and got in position to dive, all of a sudden Louis sneezed and made Maggie turn ever so slightly to the sound before shrugging it off and jumping in. Crap.

Maggie's POV

I jumped in and started swimming. I heard a giggle.

"I know you guys are there, just come out, theres really no need to hide." I said. Everyone came out and I sighed. I need to get away from this. All of a sudden Ruby took off her shirt and shorts to show her bra and underwear. Harry wolf whistled before Ruby jumped in after me. I swam faster, but so did she and soon enough I decided to stop and let her catch up to me. When she did, she grabbed my shoulders for support and panted. I held onto her until she was ready to speak.

"I know what this is about Maggs okay? You and I both know Liam's not like that so I don't understand why you left him there heart broken thinking the wrong things about himself. Come on let's go back okay?" I nodded and we swam back to the boat. I ran to Liam not caring that I was all wet and hugged him. He didn't seem to mind either. I smiled into his chest and then walked to my wheel to go back to shore to grab our luggage. When I finished I was sitting in the middle of everyone listening to them talk. All of a sudden my phone rang, the room went dead silent for me. I picked it up.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Ma'am I'm terribly sorry to inform you but your mother's not doing so well." I heard the doctor say.

""My mother!?!?!" I screached causing everyone to jolt to a stop. I started to get teary eyed and the room became a fog.

"Yes, her cancer is spreading and she can't breath very well so we'll need you to come back right away." He said solemly. I said okay and grabbed my bags. I ran out the door followed by the others.

Liam's POV

We watched her carefully. Her mother? Oh no, this is bad. Very bad. We followed her out but were quick to notice the sky darkening. Oh come on it just stopped raining! We jumped in the limo.

"Guys my mom's cancer is spreading and she can't breath well so I'm going back and you can either stay or come." Maggie said in between sobs. Ruby was crying too but was still rubbing Maggie's back comfortingly.

"What!?! We can't just stop the tour!" I blurted out. Maggie looked up at me coldly, making me shiver. Why the hell did I just say that?

"Well then don't come you heartless jerk. No Ruby, you were wrong, he's just like the others." She said. Ruby nodded and the limo stopped. Maggie tore open the door and jumped out. By now it was pouring. Maggie jumped on the boat and started to untie it, so we had to jump on. She ran to the wheel and turned in a different direction than where we had come.

"Um, where are we going Maggs?" Louis asked her in a strangely serious tone.

"We're taking a short cut." She simply said and kept going. I sighed and walked to my room to unpack again.

An hour later...

I had been laying on my bed when I was jolted to the ground by a giant motion. I ran on deck and saw lightening followed by thunder. I was freaked out when I looked to see Ruby trying to convince Maggie to turn around, but Maggie was glued to that wheel. All of a suuden a huge wave hit the side of the boat causing me to fall over and the boat to almost tip. Now I'm terrified! I heard a huge bang and turned to see Maggie get knocked unconscious by hitting her head on the wheel when another wave hit.

"Ruby take the wheel!" Niall screamed.

"I don't know how to work this boat!" Ruby said, scared. I ran to Maggie and grabbed her hand. Great we're stuck in a storm in the middle of the ocean with our captain unconscious, how could this get any worse?

"Guys look!" I heard Harry scream, sounding terrified. A HUGE wave coming right at us. Great.
