Chp 11: Sinking

Perrie's POV

We grabbed onto a peice of drift wood, I think it was a door, and started to float away from the wreck. I was crying and Zayn was holding onto me tightly. How could this happen? Why us? Poor Maggie, first her dad, then her grandma, then her mom, and then her boat. She's probably devastated! I would be too. We drifted for a long time, Eleanor, Louis, Zayn, and I. We were all scared for the rest of our friends who were out there drifting like us hopefully with somebody. What if Liam couldn't grab Maggie? What if she fell in the water unconsious and drowned? What if there was a shark near by and one of them cut themselves so the shark smelled their blood and came for them? What if someone was too close to the boat when it sunk and was dragged down by the suction surrounding it? I started to hyperventilate. Zayn looked panicked.

"Perrie? Baby? We'll be okay I promise you We'll be okay!" He said trying to calm me down.

"Perrie I'm sure their all fine and floating towards us right now." Eleanor said trying to catch her breath. She kept checking the water for sharks or jelly fish. I sighed and reached out for a hand, any hand. I caught Louis' and he held tight smiling weakly at me. I smiled a fake smile back and closed my eyes, passing out and falling into the water deep, deep down under...

Zayn's POV

She reached out and Louis took her hand smiling weakly at her. Perrie forced herself to smile back and then closed her eyes. She started to slide and soon she fell in. Eleanor screamed as Perrie started to sink. I let go and dived in after her. She was sinking fast and the water was getting darker and colder. My ears popped and started to kill. My lungs burned and the bubbles of breath started to float up in smaller numbers. I kicked desperatly trying to reach her. I reached out and my fingers brushed against her fingertips. I reached out again and this time I got her. I grabbed hold of her and pulled her up to hold her waist and hand and started to swim to the surface. I barely had any more air left in me and started to panic. I kicked harder and started to pass Eleanor and Louis searching for us in the water. They followed me up and we hit the surface together. I gasped for air and pushed Perrie up onto the peice of driftwood. She wasn't breathing. I started CPR and soon she gasped and spit out water. She was still unconscious but she was breathing now which was much better than just fantastic. I kissed her on the cheek and tried to calm down a bit. Louis looked at me looking terrified.

"There was a shark down there." He said. I paled and jumped up onto the board completly. I turned to the side to see a small brownish sliver in the distance. Land! Theres land ahead!! Except we're going in the wrong direction. I frantically started to turn the board. Shark or not I had to get Perrie back to shore, so I got back and and turned very fast like. Louis jumped down and helped me. Eleanor seemed to be in shock from the news of the shark. It took us an hour to get to shore. We found a hotel and got a phone to call the Coast Guard, Police, and Paul. They all promised to find them and Paul sounded...well...scared. Now that's different. Perrie awoke a little while later. I guess the guys aren't drifting our way. Time to tell Perrie that...

Two and a Half days Later After burning Ship

Maggie's POV

Liam kissed my head and my feet stuck to the floor and a tingly feeling went through me. I felt warm for the first time since being in Antarctica and then I remembered what he said about not needing to go back to my mom. I moved away from him and he frowned.

"Don't think I forgot what you said about my mom and not needing to go back. Don't think I'll forgive you anytime soon." I said and started to drag him along back to the base of Zayn's dad. I was angry, hurt, and confused on why when he kissed my head I was some how feeling...better.
