Secrets(a niall horan fanfic)

Chapter 36

  "I'm heading there right now" I said to Niall through the phone, turning the corner of the street.

"How many do you think we're going to need?" I asked parking in the parking lot in front of the store. I grabbed my purse off the passenger seat and hopped out of the car.

"I don't know, enough to cover the whole house plus the outside of the house" Niall answered.

We talked for a few more minutes and then hung up. I walked down the technical isle and looked at the different types of cameras. Not he kind to take pictures, but the ones you set up to see what everyone is doing.

   As I walk down the isle looking at all the different types, I sigh. All of these cameras were too big and noticeable. After debating on if I should get them or not, an idea popped into my head.
I exited the store, empty handed and got in my car once again.

I drove for about 30 minutes and exited the city. There was nothing here. Just some trees on the side of the road and a large mountain up ahed. I pulled into the mountains parking lot and got out of my car.

This was a popular hiking trail. Most people came here to work out and stuff like that. I started up the trail and started to jog. I saw a few people and smiled, just casually making my way past them.

Once I got to a certain area on the trail, I hopped into the forest type thing, that was around the trail. I looked around to see if anyone was watching me or had noticed me,before I walked around looking at the different trees trying to find the right one. I know it's somewhere around here. After looking for a few more minutes, I found the tree.

I stared at the tree for a moment. It was pretty normal. Tall and old with green leaves. But what was different was, a carving. Engraved in the tree was a heart. Inside the heart there was something written. I love life. It was really faded and you had to squint to see it.

You might think I carved the words, but no. The was the secret agent place. I was told some random person carved it into the tree and after a while it just became a symbol to let agents know where the headquarters were.

I walked behind the tree and pulled off some grass vines that had formed on top of it. I looked at a certain part of it and knocked twice. A little screen came up and a monotone voice spoke.

"Please input password." The monotone woman's voice spoke. A keyboard popped up on the screen and waited for me to type. This part was a prank. So that if anyone were to find this, they would think to try the password but it was all just fake. If the password was attempted 3 times the headquarters would go into lockdown and no one could come in, keeping it secret.

    I reached under me for a part of the tree and pulled it sideways. The screen that had the password changed and a different screen popped up.

"Scanning retina" the voice spoke again. I stared into the camera and the screen scanned my eye.

"Retina confirmed. Welcome agent Patel" the voice spoke before opening a secret passage in the tree. I squished into the tiny space and clicked a little red button on the side. The door type thing closed and I hugged my knees close to me.

The was a fast swoosh sound and I had went down underground. The door opened once again and I was in the headquarters. I stepped out and stood up. It was basically like an underground building. As I walked to the equipment room everyone stared at me.
