"No no no, Niall" I said shaking my head ferociously.
"Come on Naina!" He said holding my hand. I looked back at him and pretended to think, putting my pointer on my chin.
"How about..... No!" I shouted.
Niall rolled his eyes. "It will be a first for both of us! We can go through the pain together!" He said squeezing my hand.
I sighed putting my hand on my head. We were standing in the middle of a parking lot of a tattoo shop, and you could probably guess what we were fighting about.
"Niall, I'm scared!" I said leaning into him. He placed his hand on my cheek.
"Don't worry, I'll be right there with you. You want this night to be something you remember forever right?" He said staring into my eyes. I nodded and stood up straight, ready to face getting a tattoo.
"Let's do this thing." I said putting on a confident face and marching up to the shop with Niall right beside me.
We entered the shop and no one was there. No workers, no customers, nothing.
"Umm... Hello?" Niall asked loudly. There was a second before someone walked out from the little door in the back.
"Sorry about that! It's just we don't usually get customers around this time" a woman said smiling warmly at us. She had so many tattoos that filled up her left arm that you could barley see her skin. She had a small nose piercing and her hair was brown with was red ombré at the bottom.
"It's all good." Niall smiled back.
"So what will you guys be wanting today? A piercing or a tattoo?" She asked taking a seat.
"A tattoo please." I smiled and answered back, since the question was pointed towards me.
She laughed. "You don't seem like one to get a tattoo." She laughed again.
"You seem too innocent." She added.
"Well, I guess I'm not as innocent as you think." I laughed.
"So, what would you like?" She asked. She handed me something almost like a menu for me to choose from.
"You can either choose something from there or you can make it customized."
I looked through the 'menu' and nothing seemed.... meaningful. So we decided to make one customized.
After a few minutes of discussing with Niall what to get, Niall came up with a brilliant idea. It was simple, small, and cute.
"Are you sure that's what you want?" The tattoo lady asked. I nodded.
"Alright then. Who's up first?" She asked looking at both of us.
"I'll go first!" I said quickly. I wanted to get the pain over with. The lady nodded and started getting her stuff ready. I went and sat down in the chair in front of her and Niall sat beside.
I took a deep breath as she started the little machine thing. She dipped it into black ink and asked me to come a little closer. I scooted forwards on the chair and held out my hand, since I was getting the tattoo on my inner middle finger.
She started to outline the little heart and the Q. It hurt, but not so badly, it felt like I was getting a shot, but slower. One she was done outlining, she started to fill the tattoo in with the black ink.
I squeezed my eyes shut and took a shaky breath. It literally felt like a vibrating knife. It hurt. Not so much that I felt like I was dying, but it still hurt.
