Elena woke up to her mom shaking her.
"Elena baby wake up" she said.
Elena woke up and yawned.
"Huh?" Elena asked.
"Why aren't you in school" Miranda said.
"I wasn't feeling well" Elena lied.
"Okay want some soup?" She asks, Elena nods.
Miranda felt her forehead.
"You do feel kind of warm" Miranda said.
Miranda walked to the kitchen.
"How did I get here?" She asked herself and came to the conclusion that Damon brought her.
Then she got worried.
What if he left... Forever. Oh come on Elena do you think he would do that? No but-. But what? Nothing. That's what I thought.
Elena stretched and sunk further into the covers suddenly not feeling well and falling asleep.
Miranda shook her 30 minutes later.
"Hmmm" Elena groaned.
"Your soup baby" Miranda said.
Elena sat up and yawned smiling at her mom.
"Thank you mama" she said.
"Anytime" Miranda said.
"Mama can I ask a question" Elena said.
"Of course" Miranda said.
"Why am I not allowed to go to the basement" she asked.
Miranda stiffened.
"You could get hurt" she said.
"I'm 18" Elena said.
"And? You could still get hurt" Miranda snapped.
Elena huffed.
"They aren't dangerous" she said to herself.
Miranda didn't hear and so she left.
Elena ate her soup and laid down getting g on her phone and getting on Tumblr she scrolled through the feed and soon fell asleep.
She was woken up a few hours later by a banging on her door.
She got up and stumbled a little forgetting her glasses and falling on her face with a thud.
"Ow" she said.
She got her glasses and opened the door.
She saw sheriff Liz Forbes.
"Liz? What are you doing here" Elena said.
"Elena sweety your parents... They got in an accident and they are in the hospital... They're not well... We need you to come say goodbye" Liz said.
Elena gasped and nodded running to her room and changing and riding with Liz to the hospital.
She walked into they're room and teared up.
There lay her parents.
Bloody.
Broken.
On machines.
Dying.
Elena ran to her mom.
"Mommy" Elena cried and hugged her.
Miranda hugged her.
"Elena.... I love you.... Baby girl" Miranda said.
"I love you too mommy" Elena said.
"Elena.... It's.... Okay... You will... Be... Happy... We... Love.... You" Miranda said.
"I love you too mommy" Elena cried.
"Elena... Baby girl" Grayson said.
Elena ran to her father and hugged him.
"Daddy" she cried.
"Elena.... It's okay.... We'll be.
.. Okay" Grayson said.
"I'm 18 and my parents are dying daddy what am I supposed to do",she cried.
"You'll... Figure... It... Out" he said.
Elena nodded and let her dad go.
She held her parents hands.
BEEP............ BEEP.............. BEEP___________________.
Elena sobbed as her parents hands went limp.
She let Liz drive her home and she walked to the basement.
"Hello everyone" Elena said.
"Elena? What's wrong?" Enzo asked
"Mom and dad...... Died today" she sobbed and everyone gasped.
Although they did not like Miranda and Grayson Gilbert.
They appreciated the way they rose Elena Gilbert.
They rose to her be kind.
Pleasant.
Sweet.
Caring.
Selfless.
And pure.
"Elena come here baby" Damon called out.
Elena walked to Damon's cell and unlocked it.
Before she got the chance to get to him.
She was already in his arms he had vamp sped to her.
She sobbed into his chest and he held her close.
"Shhh it's okay baby it's okay" he calmed.
She eventually stopped crying and opened all the gates.
Every vampire hugged Elena.
"I'm sorry Elena" Enzo said.
"It's okay Enzo" Elena said.
Enzo decided to stay a while along with Damon.
Elena and Damon went to Elena's room and went to bed cuddled together.
