10: New Friend

I wake up slowly and sit up groaning, a smirk appearing on my face when I remember its Friday, I get out of bed and vamp speed to my closet, I grab my clothes and put them on, get my vial of vervain, vervain is a flower that weakens vampires but if a vampire gets used to it by taking a little bit every day we would get immune to it. So in order for me to not be affected by vervain I ingest some every day I take a the sip and squeeze my eyes as it burns its way down my throat, then I vamp speed downstairs, almost running into my 12 year old sister Charlie.

"Woah bro!" She says, I laugh.

"Sorry Charles" I say, she laughs and then smirks.

"Race ya" she says and vamp speeds off, I gasp and vamp speed after her.

"No fair!" I yell, I stop in the kitchen and see her sitting on the counter, I cross my arms.

"No fair" I say, she laughs and shrugs, I roll my eyes playfully and we drink our blood.

"I'm gonna go, I gotta pick up Cas" I said, mom dad and Charlie nod, I knew his dad had hit him last night, he called me at four am.

I woke up to Highway To Hell playing loudly on my phone, I groan and answer it.
"Hello?" I say, my eyes closed as I lay on my back.

"D-Dean" Cas' voice says, cracking as if  he'd been crying.
"Cas? What's wrong?" I ask sitting up, now fully awake.

"He hit me again Dean" Cas says sadly, I feel my blood run hot.

"What?! Are you okay?! Cas I swear-!" He cuts me off.

"Dean I-I'm okay I-I think, my eye is swollen and hurts but I think I'm okay" he says, I sigh.

"Alright Cas" I say, I had told Cas my family was vampires and he was surprisingly okay with it, of course he was weary at first but once he figured out I-nor my family-would hurt him he was okay with it.
