•One Month Later•

Dean sat up in his bed and sighed through his nose, shaking his head and licking his lips, today he would tell Cas he loved him, god he hoped he felt the same or this would ruin their friendship, and Dean didn't want that, he hated that idea. You can do it Dean... you can do it he repeated to himself as he got out of bed and started getting dressed.

He went downstairs, his jaw slightly clenched as he got to the last step, he breathed in deep and went to the kitchen and to the fridge, he opened the fridge and grabbed a bottle of blood, he didn't move after that, he just held the bottle, his jaw clenched as he closed his eyes and slowly pulled the bottle out of the fridge, he stared at the bottle as he closed the fridge, he didn't want this, he wanted it but he didn't... that doesn't make sense but its how he felt.

He didn't want to have to drink blood for eternity just so he could live... he didn't want to stand by and watch his friends grow old and die while he stayed 18 for... forever... he didn't want to watch Cas grow old and die. He wouldn't be able to handle it. He'd turn it off or kill himself...

He jumped when he felt a gentle hand on his shoulder, he looked up and pushed a smile at Elena.

"Hey mom..." he mumbled, Elena smiled small.

"Hey... you okay?" She asked softly.

"Yeah... uh yeah I'm okay" Dean mumbled, smiling a little as he opened the bottle and sighed softly.

"What's bothering you kiddo?" Elena asked softly.

"Have you ever... not wanted to be a vampire?" Dean looked up at Elena, Elena sucked in a visible breath and sighed a little.

"There are times yes when I wish I had a normal life... normal... everything" she started, nodding. "But then I think about what I have... and it washes away and I wake up and I make my beautiful family dinner" she adds, smiling softly, Dean smiles a little bit and nods gently, sighing softly.

"I'm gonna tell Cas that I love him today" Dean scratches the back of his neck as he says this, Elena smiles softly.

"I'm sure everything will be just fine" she says, Dean nods and sighs as he drinks the blood.

"I should go I asked Cas to meet me at the grill" he said, finishing the blood, he threw the bottle away, grabbed his keys and left, sighing as he got in the Impala and drove to the grill, tapping his thumbs on the steering wheel.

He got to the grill and got out of the Impala, he walked in and his day immediately got better when he saw Cas, he smiles and began making his way over to the blue eyed black haired boy, he sat down in front of him.

"Hey" he said nervously, Cas looked up and smiled that damn smile that always got to Dean.

"Hello Dean" he said, closing the book he was reading, Dean smiled and leaned on his elbows.

"You hungry?" Dean asked his friend, making Cas nod and smile.

"Yeah. I was waiting for you" he said, Dean could a... a blush? Form on the boy's cheeks, Dean nodded and called a waiter over, telling him they wanted two double bacon cheeseburgers, two plated of fries, and a water, the waiter walked off, Dean looked at Cas again and smiled again.

"So... you said you wanted to tell me something important" Cas said, tilting his head and squinting cutely.

"Uh... y-yeah" Dean said, shifting and chewing on his bottom lip, he kept his eyes on his hands, which were now folded together on top of the table, Cas laid a gentle hand on top of Dean's, the feeling sent tingles through out Dean's whole body.

"What is it, Dean? You can tell me anything" Cas said softly, Dean swallowed thickly and sucked in a breath.

"Cas... I'm in love with you, and I know that love is stupid and gives a weakness to the enemies but... I'm in love with you Castiel Jimmy Novak and I can't help it" Dean said, he looked up at Cas. "I'm so deep and madly in love with you" he whispers softly. "And its okay if you don't love me, I would understand, I'm a monster, I put you in harms way every single damn day, so if you wanna leave and never talk to me again I-" Dean was cut off when he felt a pair of soft lips connect with his, he went wide eyed for a second before he closed them and lifted his hands to Cas's face, cupping his cheeks, they pulled away, resting their foreheads together.

"I love you too" Cas whispered, Dean smiled and chuckled softly.

"Oh thank god" he chuckled, Cas giggled and smiled, Dean smiled, still holding Cas's cheeks, Cas turned his head and kissed Dean's palm, Dean smiled and kissed his temple and sat down, the waiter came with their food and they ate.

Unaware of the vampire watching them across the bar.
