HEY GUYS ITS CHERRY IM GONNA CONTINUE THE STORY FOR YALL!!!--Cherry! Get out! This book is in my point of view...

Jen here. Sorry about that.

In this chapter, I mess up. For the first time, Jen Nakpil messes up.

So it happened like this:
My brother Jack was getting ready to propose to Morgan (FINALLY!). He had his ring for her in a black box and he was getting ready for the night. It was their date night, which they haven't had in a while cuz he was always busy working with Tristan. Also cuz they're with me. Jack took the ring out of the box and practiced his proposal.

When I got home, I opened and slammed the door by accident, causing Jack to drop the fragile, tiny ring. He looked at me asking why I slammed the door, and I walked while answering him.

"I'm sorry!" I said, with no truth.

"It's fine. Just be careful next time." He said looking at the door.

Now here's the dumb part. I didn't know he was gonna propose. Not knowing, with my right boot, I stepped on the ring. CRACK! I didn't hear it, but I felt it. I just didn't identify it was the ring. I kept on walking and Jack sat back down looking for the ring. In my defense, that was a very cheap diamond and he should've picked it up before scolding me.

I was in my room thinking about Korean emails. Maybe I should email JJ? Nah. Maybe I should try to call JJ? Nah. I don't wanna see JJ but I wanna be with him at the same time. That literally made no sense. I'm a mess! Then my troubles worsened.

Audrey was at my door with a scary smile. When she does that, it means I'm gonna get an Audrey ass whooping.

"Jeez, why are you here?" I said in a grumpy way.

She walked inside.
"To talk about something."

"About what?"

"Jen, Jack was supposed to propose to Morgan tonight!"

"Supposed to? Why is there a supposed to?"

"Jen, when you slammed the door earlier, Jack dropped the ring."

Omg.

"Is that why when I was walking, the floor felt weird?" I got it.

"Yep. You stepped on the ring with your gigantic boot! Luckily Jack doesn't know about it but I do. He didn't notice the diamond powder on the rug."

"How did you notice it?"

"I was looking for my earrings and I saw the diamond powder and the ring. I remembered he told me he was gonna propose to Morgan one of these days. I saw your boot mark on the floor."

"Ohhhhh."

She left me with the question,"How are you gonna fix this?"

The next morning, breakfast was awkward. Jack could barely eat. Luckily he didn't know yet about me. Audrey dropped me off to school. Not a single word was said on the way. When I finally got out, then Audrey spoke to me from the window.

"Jen!" She said.

"Really?"

"How are you gonna fix this?"

"I don't know, ok?! In my defense, he should've picked the ring up before I started walking."

"Jen..."

"Oh alright! But fixing this isn't a problem! I can just buy an exact same version of the ring! I have a lot of money, remember?"

"Jen, do you even know what the ring looked like?"

That hit me. I have no idea what the ring looked like, so who am I to replace it?

"I could just ask him." I tried fixing this.

"Jen, he would get suspicious."

"You're right. What the hell am I gonna do?"

"Believe me, I actually wish I had an idea to help you, but sadly I don't."

He could just buy another one, but that's wasting his money. Especially since it's for Morgan (no offense to her.)

"Let's just talk about this later."

Audrey drove away and all I had in mind was the ring, and THE CHESS GAME COMING UP!
