"Babe, wake up. Today's our last day off and I don't want you sleeping through it." I slowly opened my eyes and the first thing I saw was my fiancé's gorgeous face. I smiled, rubbing my eyes and attempting to sit up. Jaime made this task impossible by laying on top of me, holding me down.
"Anything special on the agenda for today?" I asked, running my fingers through his hair. I really just wanted to stay home and relax all day, but since it was his last day off, I would do what he wanted without complaint.
"Nope. I was thinking that we could stay home and watch movies all day. The guys are busy I guess; Tony and Mike are out doing something and Vic is with Megan. They're really cute together." I smiled, thinking about how happy Vic looked last night with Megan.
"Do you know what I just realized?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows in thought.
"What?" Jaime replied, mimicking my expression.
"It has only been like, four days since you proposed to me. All of this has happened in four days." Jaime squinted, thinking back to that day.
"Wow." I laughed, realizing for the first time in weeks exactly how much drama we went through on a daily basis. I felt so tired and I really needed a day alone at home with my fiancé.
"So let's take a break for the day. It's raining, so let's just lay around and watch movies all day. Make popcorn, grab a blanket, light the fire. It'll be fun." Jaime said, leaning in and kissing me. He didn't have to tell me twice. We made our way downstairs, carrying comforters and fluffy pillows. We chose to make a bed on the floor in front of the fire instead of laying on the couch. While he made popcorn, I made up the bed and started the fire.
* JAIME'S POV *
"Babe, I can't get the fire started." Devan yelled. I dumped the popcorn into a big bowl and walked out into the living room to find her lying on the floor, cocooned in the blankets. Chuckling, I sat the popcorn down next to her and started the fire and the movie.
"Dark Skies. It's supposed to be scary." I told her, laying down beside her and draping my arm across her waist. The movie was decent, but it didn't actually start to get creepy until the very end.
"AHHHH!" Devan screamed, waving her arms in the air as if she was shooing away the alien. I laughed and pulled her close, wrapping both arms around her. She buried her face in my chest, half laughing and half screaming.
"Good thing your mom's not home. She wouldn't appreciate the screaming." I mumbled, kissing her hair. The credits played and I pressed eject so that we wouldn't have to listen to the creepy music.
"Oh well. That was scary. Good thing I had you to protect me." Devan said, attempting and failing to wink. I shook my head, laughing.
"We should do this more often." She whispered, knotting her fingers in my hair. I leaned down and kissed her softly, cupping her cheek in the palm of my hand.
"I agree." I stared into her eyes, just enjoying her company. We didn't get much time alone together, and when we do we're usually busy.
"I'm gonna miss you so much when you leave." I sighed, dreading having to leave her. She frowned, running her fingers through my hair.
"You'll be busy though. Tour will be over in three weeks and we're moving into the house right after. You get to pack everything up." I said, feeling slightly guilty. I got the easy part - performing every night on tour. She had to pack up our stuff and carry a baby.
"Ugh. It's gonna be so fun. Note the sarcasm." I sat up and grabbed a handful of popcorn, throwing one at her and eating the rest. She rolled her eyes and ate it, moving so that her head was in my lap. I stroked her hair, smiling down at her. I must've been staring for a long time, because she started snapping her fingers in my face to get my attention.
"Do I have something on my face?" She asked, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand.
"No, I was just appreciating your beauty." I said, leaning down and kissing her forehead. She blushed and pushed me away, sitting up and adjusting her shirt. She was starting to show, not much but enough, and she absolutely hated it.
"Whatever." She said, rolling her eyes. I moved closer to her and pulled her close again, wrapping my arms tight around her so that she couldn't get away.
"I'm serious, Devan. You're gorgeous." She just shook her head, not looking me in the eye. I smiled. She knew that if she made eye contact, she would see how much I really meant what I was saying and she would have to believe me.
"Look at me, Devan." It took a minute of bugging her, but she looked.
"I'm being serious. You're beautiful. You always have been and you always will be. Don't ever doubt that. It makes me so frustrated that you don't see how gorgeous and amazing you truly are. You are everything to me, Devan, and I want you to see what I see." She smiled softly and kissed me, wrapping her arms around my neck.
"I love you, Jaime."
"I love you too, Devan. More than you will ever know."
A/N: This chapter is kinda short, but it's meant to just be kind of a cute filler chapter thing. xD. Oh, and just to clear things up about the pregnancy; Jaime is, in fact, a man, and Devan is, in fact, a hormonal teenager, and they have had sex more than once. There was only one time that was documented, though. xD. Mikayla asked me about that and I figured I should let you know.
