"We're here."

"Thank God. Let me out of this truck." Jaime laughed, turning the moving van off and coming around to my door to help me out. We had been at each other's throats the entire two days that we were driving.

"Welcome home!" My mom came outside, drying her hands on a towel. I quickly hugged her and went inside, in need of some form of stress reliever.

"I'm gonna go downstairs!" I yelled, unlocking the basement door and venturing into Carter's room. Nothing had been touched since she died. A couple of us had come down here to 'be with her', but we never messed with anything. The bed was still messy, CDs were everywhere, and Vic's sweatshirt still hung on the bathroom door.

I sat down on her bed, looking at the things on her nightstand. She had three pictures - one of the gang at the skate park, one of her and her cousin Hunter, and one of her and her cousin Trinity. I picked up the picture of all of us at the skate park and flashed back to that day.

Flashback ~

"Guys. I'm so bored." I walked into the living room and found all of my friends silently playing electronics. Jaime and Vic were sitting on the floor against the couch playing the xbox, Carter was sitting on the couch behind Vic, messing with his hair and scrolling through her phone. Mike and Tony were sprawled out on the other chairs, playing two of Carter's old DS's.

"So clean my room or something." Carter said, not looking up at me. I rolled my eyes.

"Let's go do something." She sighed and put her phone down, looking over at me.

"Like?" Her phone vibrated and she picked it up, rolling her eyes and answering a call.

"Hey, I'm putting you on speaker." She pressed a button and set the phone on the couch.

"Hey babe. Do you and Dev wanna come to the skate park?" Carter rolled her eyes again and everyone laughed as Vic tensed up a bit. It was Blake, one of our friends. Well, one of Carter and I's friends, not one of the guys' friends.

"Told you not to call me babe. Is the park crowded?"

"The only other person here is Mason and he's no fun. Everyone else went to a skate competition." Carter glanced at everyone else, who shrugged.

"Do we wanna go?" She asked me, ignoring whatever Blake was saying. I paused for a second, thinking. After a minute I decided that going to the skate park was better than sitting around doing nothing.

"Sure. Let's go." Everyone turned off the games and stood up, stretching and making sure that they had all of their phones and things.

"Be there in ten." Carter said, before hanging up.

"I'm gonna go get changed." She disappeared downstairs and we all headed outside. It was a Saturday in late October. Carter and I didn't have school because it was the weekend and the boys didn't have tour scheduled until the beginning of November. Normally, the boys don't stay with us when they weren't touring - they just come to visit for a little while - but this time, since Jaime and I are together and Vic and Carter are almost together, I invited them to stay at my house and they accepted. My mom is never home and I have a bunch of guest rooms, so it's not like we're all sleeping on the couches or anything.

"So who's this Blake guy?" Vic asked me, leaning against their rental car. Tony and Mike were standing by the front door, talking about skateboarding. Jaime was standing beside me, holding my hand.

"He's just one of our friends. We've known him and Mason since like, eighth grade. We all used to be really close but now we don't really talk." Vic nodded, thinking. I chuckled.
