Chapter 5 Rosie

"Run... to the old library " Pearl ordered, panic filling her voice.

The four of them sprinted desperately down the winding and endless hallways. The Empousai close behind, their violent hisses biting at their ear drums hungrily. As they passed the principal's office the door was suddenly ripped from its hinges, skidding across the floor. And through the dust, principle Hedge leapt from his office, baseball bat ready, but no, it wasn't a baseball bat any more, in principle Hedge's hand was a meter long tree branch club , then Rosie blinked "wait were his legs covered in fur?" Rosie thought "no they were goat legs and his feet were hooves!

"Principle Hedge? " Archie stammered

"Its Coach Hedge to you cup cake, now which one of you she demons wants to die first " he chuckled

"Ok I've definitely had way too much Red bull" Archie muttered gobsmacked ''Come on'' Pearl said holding the door to the library open
"in here" Megan had to grab Archie by the arm and pull him to the library as he was in shock from goat man's sudden appearance.

''Coach Hedge'' Rosie called ''in here''

The Coaches face said "come on just let me kill them, just a little.."

"Hedge, don't repeat the events of the Grand Canyon, come on'' Pearl said.

"What the hell?'' Rosie thought, ''did pearl and Coach know each other? Coach Hedge's face changed suddenly and he nodded and trotted over to them.

All five of them slammed the doors behind them, using their bodies to hold it shut; the Empousai threw themselves at the doors trying to break through. "Archie help me move that desk over here to block the door" Pearl said.

Archie nodded and the two of them began pushing the desk towards the doors. Once they were in Position, Rosie and Coach jumped out of the way, Pearl and Archie quickly slammed the desk against the doors, and the Empousai were kicking the door and scratching at the little windows. Archie panted "ok brilliant, now we're stuck in the Library which has only one way in or out and it's being blocked by the blood sucking, bin diving, members of the cheerleading squad and basketball team!" Pearl stood up "you're wrong'' she said, ''it's not the only way out, there is another way"
Rosie looked around. To her left there were desks and a few computers scattered about and to her right there was row upon row of book shelves but she didn't see any other way out. Pearl began running down the aisle of book shelves, the rest of them following; coming to a halt, pearl entered a clearing at the back of the library. In the wall there was an old, dusty and unused fire place big enough to stand in. "our way out? " pearl said walking over to the fire place.

Archie laughed "yeah Pearl, great idea we'll huddle together, yell 'Diagon alley', drop some magic powder and Harry Potter ourselves out of here"

"Not exactly "Pearl replied

"Wait.. Are you serious?" Rosie said "first Vampires now were going to escape via an old fire place"

"I already told you, they're not Vampires, there Empousai "

"Yeah well what the hell is that exactly" Rosie demanded

"She demons" coach Hedge replied

"She Demons, but two of them are dudes" Archie said

"That's the Mist" Pearl said

"The what? " Archie replied

"it makes the mystical look normal, it stops mortals from seeing the truth, for instance they would see an Empousai as a high school senior instead of a blood sucking monster "
