This request is for Gentle_Song_Bird ,thank you for requesting! While writing this one, I started crying a little. Just the thought of someone I love hurting themselves just makes me so freaking sad. Just remember, you are all beautiful and so many people love you even if you don't think so. Also, count me in. I love all of you beautiful people! <3
The company and I built camp up, soon realizing that there was a river near by. Everyone was very happy that they could finally bathe, which is surprising because they are dwarves! I wasn't too happy about it though. Not that I don't like being clean, its just that...I'm insecure. When I was younger, I was bullied a lot. Others called me fat, worthless, ugly, and more. Those words have stuck with me ever since. I keep telling myself to forget it all, that was in the past. It just always comes back to haunt me, even in my dreams.
I still came down to the river with them, going down a little to get some privacy. After taking off my clothes, I dipped my foot in to check the temperature and it was exceptionally warm! My feet were consumed by the water, all the dirt starting to rub off. Finally, my whole body was in the water and it felt good to get clean. My mind wandered a little, until I remembered my body and looked down. There were scars from battles covering my arms and a long gash across my stomach that I got from a goblin once. I traced the long scar, then noticed the thin lines across my wrists. After a while of getting bullied, I started cutting. I haven't done it in a long time, which I am very proud of myself for.
"Jordyn!? Are you almost done?" A voice shouted, soon recognized as Bilbo's. My feelings for Bilbo are...strong. Ever since I joined the company, I just couldn't help but fall in love with him. The way he smiles, laughs, talks, and don't forget how many times he has saved out sorry little butts.
"U-uh. Y-y-yeah! Almost! Just give me a few more minutes!" I shouted back, dipping my whole body except my head into the water just in case he came over.
"All the dwarves and I are done, head back to camp when you are ready!" He shouted, then I heard his footsteps walk away. I sighed and stood back up, the water resting right below my belly button. After a moment, I trudged out of the water and grabbed a towel. I quickly dried myself and put my clothes back on, taking my time reaching the camp site.
By the time I got there, dinner was ready and everyone was gathered around the fire, eating and laughing. The company greeted me and I sat in between Bilbo and Kili, earning a warm smile from Bilbo. I smiled back and blushed a dark red, hoping the fire light illuminating onto my face would cover it up. The company and I enjoyed ourselves, laughing at each others stories. Then Fili and Kili stood up with mischievous looks on their faces.
"My brother and I have decided to play a little game with you all tonight! A game called Truth or Dare!" Fili announced, smirking at all the looks on his companions faces. My face went pale and I looked towards the ground, trying to calm myself down. What if the dwarves asked me something I don't want to answer, a question or dare that I will always regret. Hey, you never know what dwarves will do!
"So! Let it begin and yes! Of course you have to participate, it wouldn't be fun!" Kili exclaimed, earning groans from the dwarves, Bilbo and I. "Now...who is going to be our first victim? Fili, I will let you do the honors!" Kili continued.
"Why thank you brother!" Fili said, then started the game. After about half an hour, almost all the company went.
"Ugh, I hate you Kili....anyways, uuuum, Jordyn! Truth or Dare!" Bombur grumbled after he had to cannon ball into the river with all of his clothes on. I tensed but still answered with a sigh and shrug.
"Um, well, truth...I guess." I said. Bombur thought for a moment, smirked and looked at me with a certain look.
"Do you love anyone in the company?" He asked, earning a lot of oooooooo's from the company. I blushed and looked down, then nodded. All the dwarves, except Thorin and Balin, freaked out.
   "Who is it?"
   "Is it me?"
"Show us your face and tell us!"
I have fought battles, defeated giants, trolls, and goblins. But this moment, would have to be the scariest! Everyone kept bugging me till I snapped.
"Alright! I will tell you! It's Bilbo! OKAY? Will you all stop bugging me?!?!" I shouted. There was a moment of silence before all of the dwarves (except Thorin and Balin) started laughing. They started making fun of me and that just brought back memories. (I am not saying the company would do that, it is just a part of the story) Tears flooded my eyes and I stood up, running into the small cluster of trees near by. Back there I could hear the roar of Thorin's voice scolding the dwarves. That didn't stop me, I kept running until I reached a small clearing and sat down with my knees pulled up to my chest and head in my hands. I thought back to what the dwarves said while they were making fun of me. How I wouldn't have a chance with Bilbo, how he would never like someone like me. And maybe...maybe they were right. Why would Bilbo like me? I am just another hobbit, he could have anyone else.
"Jordyn! Jordyn!" Bilbo shouted, running through the trees and coming into the clearing and seeing her curled up next to a tree. He sat next to her and placed her head on his shoulder. "Thank the Valar your alright. Why did you run?"
"B-b-because I was embarrassed..." I mumbled, staying still. Bilbo wrapped his arm around my shoulder and placed his forhead on the side of my head so his mouth was next to my ear.
"I love you too, you know." He said. I picked my head up and looked at him, tears still streaming down my face.
"What?" I whispered while Bilbo wiped the tears away from my cheeks. He didn't answer, he just leaned forward and placed his lips onto mine. I sat there, shocked from was happening, but I recovered and kissed back. It only lasted a few seconds before he pulled back.
"I love you." He said quietly making my heart skip a beat.
"I love you too." I answered. We sat there for a little bit, before heading back to camp. All the dwarves were sitting around the fire completely silent while Thorin sat, glaring at them. When they saw us, all the dwarves came up and started apologizing saying that they didn't really mean what they said.
"Its alright, I actually should thank you. If we didn't play this, I would have never EVER let
Bilbo know." I said, smiling up at Bilbo during the last part. The dwarves noticed and teased Bilbo and I the rest of the week. Oh boy, this is going to get annoying soon.
I hoped you liked it! I have three other requests that I will be posting as soon as I can!
