Going Ape

For @xmeloox "How about 'Going Ape' with Warren? Like a date :3"

Sounds cute. Why not? Because it's a cute opportunity that's why.

You felt as if Max and Kate couldn't tease you enough about going on a date with Warren.

"So (y/n) will he sweep you off your feet and-"

"No."

"But what about-"

"Nope."

"Hey I have an idea. Let's do a video." Kate said.

"A video?" You questioned, turning around to face them.

"Yes!" Max gasped out, holding her face like it made perfect sense. "So we can play it at your wedding!" She then dramatically fell back onto your bed with Kate, a giggling mess.

You threw a pillow at them. You needed new friends.

He wrapped his arm around your shoulders. You looked over to him. His brown eyes were locked onto the screen. Seeing this as a sweet gesture, you leaned into him and rest your head on his shoulder. All the movies were going to be shown in one sitting so you two thought it was appropriate to buy multiple packages of candy and a large tub of popcorn and large drinks to top it off.

After the second movie you felt a little uncomfortable. Staying in the same position left your arm falling asleep and almost dozing off in between the credits. So without thinking you slid into Warren's lap and leaned into his chest.

Yeah you felt comfortable now. And stupid.

He immediately tensed up and almost choked on the soda he was currently sipping on. Thankfully you could still play casual and rested your head onto his shoulder. You were a great first date. Yeah so great you make everything awkward.

Can't wait to tell Max and Kate.

They would die of laughter if they saw you right now and how you completely changed the boy underneath you.

In the middle of the third movie he slowly slid his arms around you and across your midsection. You felt warm and fuzzy all of a sudden. The warmth was probably from Warren and the fuzzy most likely came from how your mind just blurred when he started rubbing circles into the palm of your hand.

Watching the rest of the third movie was giving you a small time of peace of mind your mind kept edging back to that you were actually on a date with Warren. The cute,dorky, and nice Warren.

He of course asked you with a corny joke. And then when you said yes he was stuttering all over the place. He flushed pink and walked away, probably ready to boast to Max.

At the credits of the third movie you felt like dozing off again. He was warm and you felt really comfortable in his arms. But you refused to sleep. One more movie to go. Once again you became focused on the movie and felt Warren tense as you shifted and took the popcorn into your own lap so both of you had access to it.

At the end of the marathon you yawned and leaned back into his chest once more to say into his shirt. "I'm so tired."

He only chuckled and lightly rubbed your arm. "Yeah movie marathons do that to you."

Then you decided to act like a idiot again and just speak your mind. "I just want to stay like this."

Yep you definitely scared this one off. Is what your brain told you. And you agreed with it.

You felt him tense again. What was with you and making him uncomfortable? Heat was being emitted from his chest as you slowly (and awkwardly) got off him and lightly chuckled to pass off the moment.

The lights were now on and people were leaving.

"This was fun. I'm glad you asked me to go with you." You thanked as you two walked out into the cold night.

"I'm glad I asked." He replied.

"Maybe next time I can buy the food?" You joked. He was kind enough to but all that expensive movie food and you were selfish enough to let him.

"N-next time?" He asked, brown eyes looking down at you.

You sheepishly looked back, a small blush coming to your face. "Yeah I mean haven't you heard? Back to the future day is coming up soon. Maybe we can go to that marathon?" You looked at him, fear of rejection was running through your head.

"That would be awesome." He replied.

You mentally gave yourself a high five for not wussing out and getting yourself a second date.
