You stood there. Your feet were frozen to the ground and you felt like you had stopped breathing for a few moments. Fear started to creep into you as you were thinking of ways to not look at this in a bad way. You stepped back. The old floorboards creaked with the movement of your shifting. Never, ever, would you have thought that you would be scared of Warren.
But right now, you didn't know who he was. Because you were so happy, ready to head down to visit Kate in the hospital and give her a new pack of colored pencils. Things have been going good, smooth even. You were about to leave through the boys' dorms after looking for Warren. But now you found him. Beating up Nathan Prescott in front of the front door out.
But all that cleared from your mind as you saw him keep going. You always felt safe with him. He was always the kind one who helped you through the worst of days. He comforted you when Kate was admitted to the hospital.
You wouldn't have cared if it was in self defense. But he was just hurting Nathan. Nathan looked in absolute pain. Like how he put Warren in at the parking lot. Sure Nathan deserved it but still. Warren was supposed to be your gentle Loving boyfriwnd.
Your mouth went dry. You didn't want to watch this anymore.
"Warren?" You whimpered. He immediately snapped out of the angered trance he was in when he was beating up Nathan. He turned to you, shock on his face. He didn't expect to see you there.
"(Y/n)?" He asked, staring at your wide eyed expression. You looked terrified. And then he felt absolutely horrible. You looked terrified of him.
Max and Chloe were silent as they witnessed the small scene before them.
The second he stepped closer to you you bolted down the halls. He soon followed after you. You got to the door before him. Tears pricked at the corner of your eyes. You ran to your own dorm, locking yourself in your room. You sat on your bed, leaning against the wall with your knees close to your chest. He was knocking on the door.
"(Y/n)! Please let me talk to you! L-let me explain!" He pleaded from the other side of the thick wood.
You ignored him. You were scared. And you felt sad. It was different. He was different. Somehow you felt like that if he could do that to Nathan, he could do that to other people too. And that scared you.
Just the way he looked so angry made you want to flinch.
You decided that you would visit Kate tomorrow, a good way to avoid Warren.
-
You completely avoided Warren for the day. When you two had the same classes you would sit on the opposite side of the room, and when you saw him in the hallways you ran the other way. You weren't even mad at him. You were just a bit shaken from what you saw. You saw Warren across the parking lot talking to Max as you were walking out to visit Kate. You ignored them and hoped to not be noticed as you quickly, slightly, ran towards the exit.
-
Seeing Kate made you feel happier. She was drawing on a small notepad while laying in bed. When you knocked on the door she seemed to brighten up.
Especially when you gave her the colored pencils for her drawings. You thought that Kate deserved a visit from a friend after all the bullying and drama.
You spent most of the day with Kate until visiting hours were over. With a final hug, you left back to Blackwell. The walk back was normal. The sun was still out and you felt a little better. But that quickly vanished when you saw Warren pacing back and forth in front of your door.
You just wanted to go to bed. And him to leave. But that obviously wasn't going to happen. You gulped down the nervous lump in your throat and stepped toward him.
"Warren?" You asked, he looked up and stopped his pacing. His bruises stoll remained on his face and you wanted to kiss him but you didn't.
"(Y/n) look I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that to Nathan and" He took a step closer but you took a step back. He sucked in a deep breath. At least now you were listening to him. "And I want you to know I wouldn't ever do that to anyone else."
You were feeling afraid again. The memory of yesterday and how Warren was just stomping all over Warren and having no plan on stopping . You flinched when he lightly caressed your cheek.
"Are you scared of me?" He asked, dread and regret un his voice. He didn't want you to be like this towards him.
You lightly nodded your head.
So you looked up into his eyes, tears pickling at your own. He looked heartbroken and sad. You pushed him away and walked inside your room, tugging on his sleeve to join you.
"Why....why were you doing it?" Your small voice asked.
"He-he pulled a gun out and I just felt so mad, he just something off inside me. I'm really sorry though." He reached over to grab your hand.
You loosely let your fingers intertwine with his. He pressed his lips against your forehead in a comforting kiss as you leaned into his chest and hugged him.
That part of him still scared you, but thankfully that wasn't all of him. And you could sink back to not thinking he could rage on someone who messes with him. He snuggled close into your neck and you two stayed there. Hugging and silently saying I love you.
(A/N)-Sorry for the cappy chapter but I didn't know how to properly end it so this is it. I don't remember if this was a request or not.
