*EDITED*
"Miss Thompson what a pleasure it is to see you in detention, in my room...once again I see" Mr Wilson my English teacher smiled showing no humour what so ever. The man is annoying and thinks he's so much better than everyone being one of the hottest teachers at this school. The feminine student body at Beverly Hills High School can't help but be silent during every class they have with him, not because they were taught to be silent when a teacher is speaking, but because they sit there throughout the hour lesson daydreaming about their wedding together. It's hilarious.
Oh wait, let me rewind and tell you exactly hour I ended up in the identical schoolroom for the second time in the same day.
"Do not worry Miss Edwards your daughter is in safe hands. I guarantee you by the end of the year she will be another one of the well behaved and bright girls we send off to college, or university depending on what she wants" Mrs Anderson the schools principle struggles to reassure my mother on the first day of school when she decided to drop me off thinking I'd ditch or get one of my brothers into a car crash. I didn't understand this anymore, did the woman I have lived with all my life forget who I am or is she playing some kind of joke. I wasn't going to change and there was no way I was leaving high school with the same grades as my brothers, who always seem to find a way to ruin my life.
"Thank you Mrs Anderson. We have tried everything with her and seeing as this is my last chance I am leaving everything to you. No pressure" my mother chuckled nervously mumbling the last part to herself thinking she would be the only one who would be able to hear the comment. Ladies and Gentlemen, people of the earth, my mother has once again made the same speech she had vocalised to my therapist, my grandmother, who thinks I am a boy and my teachers during parents evening when they meet. Every year it's the same thing.
Mrs Anderson shot a stern look to my mother whose facial expression transformed in only a few milliseconds. "Well then if that's all, I think it's time for Diane to go look around the school before the bell rings" she coughed straightening up her posture as she flattened her black dress before pushing the loose strands of her brunette bun styled hair behind her ears and walking away. Mrs Anderson is one of the weirdest of people I had met through the years of my existence and that has only been fifteen years.
"If I get a phone call today from any teacher I swear to god this time I will be sending you to your father's house back in London" she threatened me setting her Gucci bag around her elbow then walking off leaving me standing there alone. It was the same threat she gave me on the first day of middle school but nothing actually happens. She's just doing it now out of force of habit, the first time she'd used it I wasn't paying attention so everything she had said got swallowed into the air abandoning me to do anything as I pleased.
"Diane" the loud shouting escaped the mouth of my best friend who I had known since I was only five. Montana, she's the girl I grew up with, the girl who used to braid my hair because I simply couldn't be asked to do so, the girl who stayed up helping me prepare for the nightmare that was my French final in junior high, the girl who had dinner with my family every Saturday night minutes before we started our weekly Sam and Cat marathon. Montana is now also known as my partner in crime.
