I shower and meet Visellia for breakfast at the Waffle House off campus. I find Visellia sitting in a booth and join her.
"Hey, how was yoga?" Visellia asks picking up her menu from behind the napkin dispenser.
"It was great. You should come with," I suggests to Visellia as I pick up my own menu.
"Yeah, I thought about it. When she has a later opening, then I will come." Visellia jokes. "Did you find spiritual enlightenment?" She continues to joke.
I purse my lips together, "Not really, but it gave me a lot of time to think about know what I need to do about some people in my life."
"Glad you have come to that. I surely hope I am not one to be cut off." Visellia worries.
"Of course not." I let Visellia know sensing her worriment.
The waiter comes over and takes our drink orders and our food orders then go to fill them.
"So, what's going on?" I ask Visellia once the waiter brings our drinks back and tells them our food will be ready in ten minutes or less.
"Well, it's about your girl; Andy," Visellia says then takes a sip from her cup that contains apple juice.
"What about her?" I ask hating the awkward silence between us. Visellia always had something to say, but now, she seemed a little silent. "Visellia?"
"Andy has been spending a lot of time with Cole."
Cole? "I didn't know he was still down here. I thought he left." I admit, my leg starts to shake a little.
"No, obviously not. I saw them going into a restaurant yesterday around . . . dinner time." Visellia remembers. "He was dressed up in a suit and she was dressed up as well. She actually looked decent."
I listen, not believing what I am hearing.
"They were holding hands and lip locking." Visellia takes out her phone with a sigh. "I took a few pictures just in case you did not believe me." She hands the phone to me.
I take the phone and looks through the pictures of Cole and Andy doing exactly what Visellia said. As I l browse at the pictures, there were no tears, no racing heartbeat, or any fury. I hand the phone back to Visellia; she takes it and locks it.
"Sirrah, are you going to be okay?" Visellia asks as the waiter set our food in front of us then takes off.
"I am alright, to be honest," I answer eating my bacon.
Visellia digs into her biscuits, gravy, and grits. "I see."
"I mean...I don't know how I feel, but I don't feel anything right now. I want to say I knew it was coming eventually. I really just don't know what to do or say about that." I guess, "I know I will confront Cole, sooner than I expected to do so."
"I am sorry, Sirrah. I wish I had better to tell you." Visellia sighs now picking at her food with her fork.
"It's alright, Visellia. This is just one more thing that has been building up to the very top of my 'To-do' list." I imply putting a ten-dollar bill on the table and leaning back.
"Gees, I guess that yoga thing really did something for you," Visellia noted seriously.
"It did and I am glad that I went. I would have probably never gotten the answers I needed. And as far as Cole and Andy goes, do you know where- never mind." I begin sliding out of the booth.
Visellia follows me after putting a twenty-dollar bill on the table then follows behind me.
