"I am so sorry that happened to you, Sirrah." Visellia rubs my back.
I sniffle with my knees drawn to my chest and a tissue in my hand. "Thanks. I guess."
"Are you sure you're going to be okay here by yourself?" Visellia makes sure before standing up.
"Yeah. I did not go to class today. So, going out is a no for me." I says stretching my legs out in front of me.
"Alright. I'll bring you back something to eat." Visellia promises me as she exits my room.
"Alright. Have fun for me." I manage to crack a smile.
"Oh, you know I will." She snickers leaving the apartment.
I lull my head back on my headboard and looks up at the ceiling thinking aloud.
"How could Andy do that to me? Sit there and let some boy crack jokes at me. Why would she do that?" I twist my face up in total disgust with what Andy is doing. "She knows...she knows." I say my voice breaking.
I sigh and get up. I walk to the kitchen and begins to make myself some hot chamomile tea to calm my nerves from yesterday. A knock at the door causes me to jump; I answer the door to find an exhausted looking Shiriki standing in the doorway. He looks like he had not shaved in weeks also as though he had not gotten a lick of sleep.
"Visellia is out if you are looking for her." I tell Shiriki.
Shiriki shakes his head. "No, I am actually here to talk to you, Sirrah. I didn't know if you were going to be here to be honest, but I thought I would try it out anyway."
I look up at Shiriki, lets him in, and closes the door behind him.
"I am making chamomile tea. Want a cup?" I ask watching Shiriki sit down then stand up. Doing the fidget thing, he does with his fingers.
"Sure, I'll take a cup." He answers pacing back and forth around the kitchen.
I make him a cup and hands it to him. He stops fidgeting enough to take the cup and grasps it with both hands to feel the warmth. He then sits back down at the kitchen table and I sit across from him, with my own cup.
"Shiriki, what's going on? Why aren't you in class?" I break the silence between us; she takes a sip of the tea.
"My ex enrolled in this college today and is taking two of my classes." Shiriki blurts out in total stress. "Here; out of all the colleges in Georgia. Why'd her trifling' ass had to choose Summerfield?" He runs his hands through his hair, clearly frustrated at the situation.
I glare at Shiriki and realizes that might have been whom he was talking too yesterday when I was coming back to campus from my photo shoot.
"I mean it's bad enough that she cheat on me with my brother, got pregnant, tried to pin the baby on me, and they she got married to my brother the very next year. Now because they marriage isn't what she wants, she wants to weasel her way back to me." He imitates a snake weaseling its way with his arm causing me to chuckle.
"Is that who you were speaking with yesterday?" I ask tilting my head to the right.
"Oh...no. That was her friend, trying to convince me that my ex made a horrid mistake in choosing my brother over me." He scoffs, "Duher, I could have told her that. However, I was wondering why she was not telling me all of that herself. Her friend said she was highly a shamed at what she had done and did not think I would want to talk to her. Well, she is right about that."
I shake my head while I listen to Shiriki's story. I sip my tea.
"I hope to not see her or avoid her at all cost. I do not want to see her or talk to her. Hell, I don't even want to think about her." He rubs his forehead. "So, what's going on with you?" He asks her wanting to not speak about his ex any longer. "How come you aren't in class today? How did the shoot go?"
