Chapter 3 Further Up Ahead

Zacharie sighed silently and turned to you with a smile "shall we continue?" he asked. The Judge walked up to your legs and gently stroke his back and tail against you, just like a normal cat. You didn't mind his or anyone else's looks and just smiled, leaning down and picking the cat up, holding him and stroking his back while walking with Zacharie. The Judge would purr a lot, Zacharie glancing at the cat with a smile you could never see his smiling lips since he kept his mask on but sometimes his voice sounded like he was smiling. 

The three of you soon got closer, it was quite calm, it felt like it was a little.. too calm.. Though you tried not to mind to much. The spectres were nowhere to be seen strangely but you just thought that Batter had been here before you came and so kind of cleared the path for the three of you. Your warm hand was still stroking  the Judge's back. You could tell Zacharie was getting nervous and kind of... scared, you knew this since you saw how he started shaking while looking around. 

~Zacharie's P.O.V~

I gulped and looked around, I knew the spectres was somewhere around, why on earth would they be hiding?! I had to protect (Y/N) even if my life depended on it or if she was in danger, I had to protect her from all danger.  

The silence soon broke when I felt someone's hand grab my arm and clinch onto my sweater, I swiftly turned around to meet a horrified looking (Y/N), she seemed to be pointing ahead of us, as I slowly turned towards the direction and froze, standing face to.. mask?... with a group spectres around 5 of them. I glanced at (Y/N) and had a warm smile under my mask and said "run away with the Judge and I'll be right with you...." I could see how her eyes teared up, some rolling down her pretty face. She stuttered and didn't get words out of her mouth "p-p...p...please... don't g-get h-h....hurt..." she let out finally. I nodded and wiped away her tears with my thumb and dragged my mask up over my mouth and kissed her head, smiling "now go with the Judge and I will be there with you two again soon.." I said once more and she slowly nodded and obeyed, running after the Judge who had already started running.  I sighed and pulled down my mask again, I groaned silently as white angel like wings emerged out of my back, and a golden bat slowly appeared in my hands. The wings caused me to start hovering / flying up above the ground and got ready to beat these fuckers up....

~Author's P.O.V~

You kept running, the cat in front of you almost out of your sight as you collapsed and passed out on the ground. The Judge didn't notice and was already long gone. Zacharie faught off the spectres and the wings and now bloody bat slowly dissapeared as he hovered down to the ground again and wiped some sweat off his forehead. Zach turned around and began walking the way that you and the Judge ran. Zacharie was at the spot you had passed out but you weren't there anymore. Some Elsen's had found you and brought you inside, trying to get you conscious again.
