*2 Weeks Later*

I swear this class couldn’t get any more boring. Mr. Moore went on and own about some historical thing but I couldn’t help but loose myself in it all. I haven’t ever liked history, it bored me. I would usually go on my phone or sleep, that would explain my horrible marks. I pulled out my phone and texted Sara. “Help me!!” I texted to her. I turned my phone to vibrate so that when she replied it wouldn’t catch Mr. Moore’s attention. I looked around to see half of the class asleep, but the teacher didn’t seem to notice at all. He just carried on with whatever he was talking about like everyone was so thrilled to be listening. My phone buzzed and I looked down to see a reply from Sara. I opened up the text to see what she wrote. “History? 2 floor bathroom. Now.” I closed out of the text and turned it to sleep mode. I lifted my hand up with took him a while to see. “Yes?” He asked looking in my direction. I couldn’t help but notice how overly dressed he was for school. He looked like he was about to get married. “May I go to the washroom?” I asked, as innocent as ever. “Sure Ashley.” He smiled and continued on with his rant or story. I hadn’t yet figured out which one it was.

I headed out of the class and sighed in relief. I thought I would never get out of there. I walked over to the bathroom and opened the door to see Sara fixing her makeup in the mirror. “Thank you thank you thank you.” I said walking in the door. “’No problem.” She laughed. “What’s Mr. Moore going on about now?” She asked, applying another coat of mascara. Her eyelashes looked fake, but everyone knew they weren’t.  She had beautiful long lashes that any girl would kill for. “I don’t know. I don’t really pay attention.” She stopped to smirk at me before applying some more lip gloss.

When the bell rang we left the bathroom and I headed back to Mr. Moore’s room to collect my things. I snuck in, grabbed what I needed and left before he could accuse me of ditching his class.

“Hey!” I heard as I left the class. That voice I knew oh so well and I couldn’t help but smile when I heard the sound of it. I turned around to see Ty walking up to me. He slipped his hands around my waist and planted a couple sweet and soft kisses on my lips. “Let’s keep it PG kids.” Ms. Martens said as she walked by. I tried to hold back my laughter but I couldn’t. “Am I still coming to dinner tonight?” He asked. I nodded. Tonight was the night that we were telling my parents that we were dating, hopefully everything went well. I could already see my parents drilling him with questions. The second bell rang and Ty gave me another kiss. “See you then.” As he walked away he smirked at me. Although I was excited for him to be introduced as my boyfriend for the first time, I was nervous about what my parents would say. For some reason, all I could think about was them not accepting him as my boyfriend.

The doorbell rang and I froze in my place as I was putting the salt and pepper down on the dinner table. We were eating in the dining room, which never happened unless we had special guests or we were trying to impress someone. Which was probably both in this case. “I’ll get it!” I said heading to the door. My mom was placing the food on the table and my dad had already taken a seat.

I opened the door to see a freshly cleaned up Ty. He was always gorgeous, but he definitely cleaned up well. I smirked while eyeing him up and down. He pulled me in by my waist but I swatted his hands away. We had to tell my parents that were dating before getting touchy feely with each other. “Come in.” I said. He took his shoes off and I lead him into the dining room where both my parents were now seated. “Mom. Dad.” I said. Taking a seat which Ty pulled out for him. Point 1 for Ty.

After about 20 minutes threw dinner we decided it was a good time to tell them that we were dating. “Guys, we want to tell you something.” I said as I finished my last bite of food. “What is it honey?” My mom asked, eyeing Ty and then me. “Me and Ty are dating.” My mom and dad’s face were just blank for a few seconds. Then their face’s both turned into a smile. “Welcome Ty.” My mother said. “We’re looking forward to seeing you around.” My dad added with a smile.

The rest of the dinner was spent in my parents questioning Ty, just like I expected. It wasn’t as harsh as I thought it would be though, just simple questions. Then Ty and my dad were discussing sports which turned out great because they liked the same teams as well.  My mom brought out dessert which was my favourite, cheesecake. My mom would always bake in from scratch, which always seemed much better than store bought. My mom set the cheesecake down on the table. As soon as she did my stomach did a flip, and not from excitement. I stood and ran to the bathroom. As soon as I did I threw up everything I had. Ty came in after me holding my hair back. “Are you ok?” He asked with concern when I was finally done. My mom and dad were close behind him, with the same concern. “Honey are you okay?” My dad asked. “Yes.” I nodded. “I guess I just didn’t feel well.” I shrugged. They were all still looking at me with concern. “I’m fine, just give me minute to wash up and I’ll be right out.” I shooed them out and shut the door behind them. I opened my bathroom cabinet and went to grab a mouth gargling cup when a box of tampons fell onto the floor as I went to go pick it up my mouth dropped to the floor. Wasn’t I supposed to get my period a couple days ago? I shoved the box back into the cabinet, rinsed out my mouth and went back to the dining room like nothing had just happened.

When Ty left I helped my parents clean up then went upstairs to shower. In the shower, all I could think about was what if I was pregnant? What would I do? The thought made me cringe. I never thought I would be in the situation. When I got out the shower I climbed into my pajamas and pulled out my phone. I stared at Sara’s contact number for a couple minutes before finally pressing ‘dial’. The phone rang about 3 times before she picked up. “Hello?” She said into the phone. “Sara?” I asked, a tear falling from my cheek. “Ashley? What’s wrong?” I closed my eyes and squeezed them. “Sara.. I think I’m pregnant.”
