Being Born

Of course I don't actually remember being born, but I know the basic things about my birth. The things I know is that I weighed 8 pounds and 1 ounce, my parents named me Melissa, I was born August 22, 2001, and I was born in the afternoon (don't know the exact time though). According to my family, I was a really fat baby and I couldn't crawl because I was so fat. I had to roll around instead, which is strange because now I'm really skinny. Anyways though, as a child, I watched a lot of Dora, that show was my life. I also played school with my grandpa because I always wanted to go to school as a kid. And then one day, I went to an elementary school with my mom because she was going to be subbing there, and the principal told me that I could actually become a student there! I was so happy and excited, but then when I actually got into the class, I cried. A lot. I don't even know why I cried, but I did, and I didn't like school. But after I went back the next day, everything was good and I made friends. I don't remember how, but I became best friends with a guy named Stephen and we did like everything together. That was, until he moved away like a year or two later. But while he was still with me, it was awesome and I wonder where he's at today, even though I probably won't ever see him again. Oh well, that's life for you.
But then in kindergarten, there was this kid that sat in the back of the class all by himself. I decided to go and talk to that kid on the first day of school and he became my new best friend. His name was Steve. Strange...two of my old best friends names are so similar. Back to the story though. Steve was really shy and stuff, so it took like a whole week to actually become good friends with him. After that week though, he wasn't shy anymore. Apparently I had opened him up a bit, although I don't know how. So yeah, we were best friends all the way up until the end of elementary school, because at that point in time, we had to split paths and go to different middle schools. He was going to Terrace or Charles (not sure which one) and I was going to Nolan Richardson, which absolutely sucked. Anyways, I don't want to make this chapter too long (just 'cause), so I'll write about middle school in the next chapter.
