Caring for someone

~Normal POV~

"Wendy! Can you do me a huge favor?" Natsu asked with desperation in his voice.

"That depends...whats wrong?"

"Lucy has a really high fever and fainted so now I don't know what to do!"

"Okay, okay. Just send me her address and I'll be there as soon as I can." She said calmly.

"Thanks. Oh and bring some food too, I think we're going to end up eating here."

"Sure! Just try to bring down the fever until I get there." Then Wendy hung up.

Natsu still had Lucy in his arms so he decided to lay her on her bed. He placed his hand on her forehead to see how bad her fever was. Unknowingly he let his fingers linger to her cheeks.

They're burning but still so soft...

He thought. Then he quickly moved away.

What the hell am I thinking?! Okay pull yourself together.

He stood up and went to her kitchen cabinets to get a bowl and filled it with cold water along with a small towel.

He sunk the towel in the water and then ringed it out. He placed it on her forehead then he heard the door bell ring. Quickly getting up, he raced to open the door.

"Wendy!" He exclaimed while opening the door to a little Wendy carrying a huge yellow backpack.

"I came.....as fast......as I could." She said in between breaths. "You owe me big time."

"Thanks, you're a lifesaver Wen, come in. Lucy's laying down on her bed. She was walking around just fine but then she collapsed out of nowhere." Said Natsu while leading Wendy to her bedroom. Wendy got down on her knees and opened up her book bag.

She started taking out a bunch of medicines, a thermometer, alcohol, cotton swabs and things like that.

She placed the thermometer in Lucy's mouth and put her hand on her forehead. Then she noticed something.

"Natsu-nii, she just has a slight fever."

"Yeah, so?"

"People don't just faint because of small fevers like this. There might be something else that's wrong with her..." Natsu looked at Wendy with concern and confusion written all over his face.

"We'll just have to wait until she wakes up."

Natsu's POV

I decided to prepare some soup for lunch and leave some ready for Lucy.

"Ahh~" said Wendy while rubbing her belly in satisfaction. "That was really good Natsu-nii!" I chuckled at her compliment.

"Thanks Wen." I looked at the time. "It's getting late, you should start heading home." I said standing up and picking up the plates.

"Aw~ Okay~" She said with disappointment clearly shown in her voice. "And what about you?" She asked helping me pick up the table.

"I'm going to finish cleaning up here and then leave." I headed over to the kitchen and placed the dirty dishes in the sink.

"Alright then. When Lucy wakes up tell her I said hi." Wendy walked over to me, hugged me, got her coat and then left.

When I finished washing, I decided to start cooking other dishes for Lucy and put them in some containers for her to have some food leftover tomorrow.
