All I did last night was write until my hand cramped up and got too tired. What was really weird about last night was that I actually able to have a peaceful nights sleep. No nightmares, no scary monsters, and actually no dream at all. That has never happened before. I was just happy that I was able to actually sleep without worrying about dying.
I was almost to the doors to the school when I heard a familiar voice coming from behind.
"Aislyn, Aislyn wait up!"
I stopped right there and turned around to find Gemma running up to me.
"Hey Gemma"
Once she caught up I started walking again.
"Hey Aislyn."
I pushed my eyebrows in, giving her a look of confusion. Why is she talking to me?
"Why do you look so confused?"
I shrugged my shoulders,"Well, I thought that by now you probably would have forgot about me by now. Nobody really talks to me at all or even remembers me. I am shocked you even remembered my name."
She raised her eyebrows, to make a look of shock.
"Of course I remember your name. We are friends."
We were at the doors when I suddenly stopped and held out my hands in a stop position
Whoa! We just just met yesterday. How are we in any way friends?"
She grabbed both of wrists and slowly brought them down.
"We just are Aislyn. You, my friend, are just going to have to deal with it."
I puffed out a breath
"Just a for-warning, I have never had a friend before and I don't know how to be a friend."
"Well, do you talk to anybody?"
"No, not really."
"Well that's a reason why you've never had a friend. You need to step up and say, 'Hello everyone. I'm Aislyn and I am freakin amazing!'"
"Why in the world would I do that? I hate being the center of attention."
"Well, I don't know, but what I do know is that you know have me to back you up. Never forget that."
"I know, and thank you. You don't have to do any of this."
She put her hand on my mid back and patted there. "Let's talk about this later. Let's put a smile on our faces and face this place they call school."
We both started laughing really hard when we walked inside of the school. Everyone was looking at us like we were insane, but the thing is that right now I really, really don't care. I know, crazy right. To be truly honest, this is the most carefree I have felt ever.

During English class Gemma and I talked and worked on our book project. I asked our teacher if we could work together due to the fact she just transferred here. I am so glad she agreed.
I found out that she has a twin sister. The bad part is that she told me that a couple years ago they got into this terrible fight and they haven't spoke since. She says her sister has gotten plastic surgery to make sure no one associates her with Gemma.
"That is terrible Gemma. May I ask you something?"
She leaned back into her chair and smiled,"Go right ahead, ask me anything."
"Do you think you will ever see her again or talk to her again?"
She snickered a little bit,"Funny part is that have seen her quite a few times, even though her appearance has changed dramatically. The talking part, I don't know. Hopefully within the near future we will speak. I miss her so much. I mean what she did to cause the fight was totally uncalled for and could have been avoided, but she is my sister, nun the less. I love her and miss her every second of every day."
"May I ask what she did?"
"She stole the most precious thing to me. That part I can tell you, I just don't think I am ready to tell you what. Please don't be offended in anyway."
The last line she spoke she rushed and started to get worry in her eyes.
I put one of my hands on hers, which were on the table,"Gemma, no need to worry. It's personal, I understand. Take all the time you need."
She blew out a breath of air and you can just see the stress just roll off of her,"Thank you Aislyn."
"No problem. Now we got a project to work on."
The rest of the day after that went just smoothly. Maybe being Gemma's friend isn't gonna be so bad after all.
