No, this cannot be happening. Maybe if I run back to the school they will go away. I turn and take a couple of fast steps, look behind me and see the monsters are gone and are replaced with staring teenagers. I sink to the cement ground. No, I'm going insane. No, this can't be happening. I was trapped. Students blocking me from all directions. They were laughing at me.

Just go away I thought, but i knew that wouldn't happen.....

AH! I sat up in my bad breathing very heavily. It was a dream, just a dream.

I get to school, for real this time. NO monsters and everybody acts like I don't exist. I mean it would be nice if I was popular, but then that would mean people would focus on me. I do not like attention that much at all. I don't even present in front of a class, I do it privately with my teachers.

My next class was english class, the best class ever invented. WHen I walked into the classroom, the atmosphere felt different. I can't explain it but it just does. I sat in my usual seat in the back of the classroom. WHen the bell rang and everyone got settled in there seats, my teacher, Mrs. Tike, went to the front of the room and started talking, "Hello class. Today is a special day because we have a new student." I snapped my head up to the front of the classroom where Mrs. TIke and the new student was standing.

"Class I would like to introduce you to Gemma Marns. Gemma why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself?"

She stood with natural pride and confidence,"Well Mrs. Tike, I was born in Austin,Texas but then I moved to Florida due to my dad getting a job promotion. My Dad just got another job promotion here, so we moved and here I am." Her attitude was one of showmanship. She gave off a Look-and-focus-on-me vibe.

"Well let's see if we can find you somewhere to sit. There we are, Aislyn has a whole table to herself, you can sit with her."

What! No! Nobody sits with me. I want to sit alone, seriously Mrs.Tike you of all people know that. THis is just bull crap. This year is already one of the worst of my life.

Gemma Came over and sat right across from me. I looked up at Mrs. Tike and gave her a pleading look. She looked back at me with one of apology.

"Okay class, now that we have gotten that situation handled, you can all have a workday on you book projects. You may use your electronics but if you refuse to use this time correctly I will enjoy them myself."

When Gemma turned back around she smiled at me and put her hand out,"Gemma Marns, what is your name?"

I looked at her hand, raised my eyebrow, then put my hand in hers to shake it.

"Aislyn, Aislyn Lucas. "

"Pleasure to meet you Aislyn."

"The feeling reciprocated."

"SO what is this book project we are doing?"

"It is where we pick out our favorite book and either make a poster, prezi, or powerpoint about it. I am doing a poster on the Red Death by Edgar Allen Poe."

She made an O shape with her mouth,"Oh, I see."

"Yeah." I said with a mono-tone voice.

"I have one more question, if you don't mind."

I focused back on my paper,"Fire away."

She put her hand on my paper to make me stop what I was writing,"Why are you back her all by yourself?"

I narrowed my eyes at her,"I just like being alone."

"Well, looks like you are going to have to just get used to being with another person, at least for this class, because I am not going anywhere."

I gave a sarcastic smile,"Oh fun."

"Oh come on. I am not all that bad. At least give me a chance."

I looked up at her and raised my eyebrows,"And why in the Davy Jones Locker would I do that?"

She looked at me with a softened look,"Because you just met me. Please, just give me a chance to show you i'm not all that bad."

I leaned back in my seat and crossed my arms,"Alright fine."

A big smile spread across both of our faces.

"You won't regret it."

After she said that, I had a feeling that she was right.
