"What are you doing here?" He asked completely shocked.

"Me? What are you doing here?" I asked back, just as-if not more- shocked than him.

Seriously of all the people in this world that could potentially be Phel's it had to be the arrogant jerk from the minimart? Why couldn't it be Ed Sheeran or an Hemsworth brother. God, I'd even take Flo from Progressive or the Geico lizard. I'd even take the third Hemsworth brother that isn't hot or famous. But no, it had to be douche face who's name I still don't know.

"Vern, how do yo know O-" Phel started, but was rudely interrupted.

"Vern? No, this is Jane." Homeboy said.

"Verny dear, how does he know your nickname?" Lorraine asked.

"Jane?" Homeboy asked. I focused back on him.

"To most people I go by Vern. It's short for Veronica" I explained. "Jane is my middle name."

"Oh, then why did you tell me to call you Jane?" He asked.

I paused. I couldn't exactly tell him I wanted intimacy with him, I mean if I did he'd probably laugh or get freaked out. I know if someone said that to me I would.

"Umm." I said avoiding eye contact with every one in the room. I focused on a candle in the middle of the neatly placed table. it flickered as it danced in the air of the ac. "I don't know I just did." I finished throwing in a shrug so I  could make it seem casual.

"Mmhmm."  He replied while crossing his arms over his chest, obviously not believing me.

"Wait. We are still confused on how you two know each other exactly." Carleigh Jean interrupted.

"Oh, umm. We've met before." I said feeling my cheeks redden.

"How?" Jude piped up.

"He sorta saved my life." I muttered.

"Don't sound so proud." Homeboy said sarcastically.

"OH MY GOD!" Mileigh squealed. "This is the hot british man who pushed you out of the way of the car!?"

"Mileigh Joe!" I hissed my face instantly darkening 6 more shades of red.

"Hot?" Homeboy mussed.

"Oliver son, is this true?" Phel asked. I finally looked towards 'Oliver.' The name fit him so well, with his boyish charm and dazzling good looks I couldn't think of a more suitable name.

"Yes, It's not a big deal." he said sheepishly.

"Not a big deal?" I laughed. "You asked for a freaking parade!"

"I was kidding." he snapped sending glares over to me.

Have you ever seen a movie where all of a sudden time stops. And for a moment everything is silent. You know the dramatic one's where every thing freezes at the climax of the show?  Well thats what these next words made the entire room feel like.

"See Phel baby, our boy is a good one." Melody said. Her words made everyone go rigid. They were the first time they had been said out loud. The first real conformation that Phel had another kid. It felt like an eternity before someone spoke.

"So that means you're my brother?" Jude asked. Mileigh Joe and Carleigh Jean both shot looks to Phel. Phel just sat there while he contemplated what he was to say and do next. Like it was a game of chess instead of it being news of his newly found son. But it was Lorraine who leaned over and touched Jude's hand and softly smiled as she spoke.

"Yes Jude."

Jude looked over to Oliver and smiled.

"Really?" He asked hopefully .
