Make Me Laugh

"What can I do to make you laugh?" You asked the serious mobster as you placed an omelette in front of him.
His eyes lit up and his mouth nearly twitched into a smirk before he went straight to devouring the fluffy, warm eggs before him.
You stood in front him, staring in amazement. Never would you have guessed that such a serious guy would be so in love with omelettes.
A soft giggle escaped your lips as you watched him eat. Soryu peered up at you, pausing right before shoveling another bite into his mouth.
"What is it?" He asked cautiously.
"Haha It's just...you're so cute, Soryu!"
At this, a slight blush tinted his cheeks and he slowly went back to eating. When he finished, you took his plate to the sink and rinsed it, leaving it aside to air dry.
"So? How do I make you laugh?" You asked again as you plopped down on the couch next to your boyfriend.
"Why do you want to know?"
"Isn't it obvious? So I can make you laugh!"
"...But you've made me laugh before."
"I've made you chuckle, but not full on laugh! I wanna hear you lose control and laugh until it hurts!"
Soryu stared at you with furrowed brows.
"That sounds a bit sadistic, you know. Besides, why would you want to hear that?"
"Because laughing is great! ...And I bet your laugh is super cute. I bet no ones ever heard it. I want to take everything you have to offer, Soryu. I want to be the only one you show your sweet, adorable, carefree side to. Because I love you...and that way, I'll have less competition when it comes to other women who want you."
Light pink dusted his cheeks again as he replied,
"Enough with the cute. And you sound like Eisuke, trying to monopolize me like that."
"Are you suggesting I share you with other women, Soryu?"
"Of course not! I'm just saying... you really have no competition... because no one even compares to you..."
Soryu spoke quietly, and his voice broke into a barely audible mumble near the end.
You grabbed the adorable mobster's face before replying,
"Aww, I love you."
With that, you placed a sweet kiss on his lips before releasing him and adding,
"But I still wanna make you laugh! What will it take?"
He thought for a moment but eventually came up with an answer.
"Time."
"Pfft. That's not what I-"
Suddenly, you were interrupted by Soryu's lips clashing with your own. You were taken by surprise but melted into the kiss in no time. When Soryu pulled away, you sighed.
"Okay, I get it. I'll shut up about it." You pouted.
"No," Soryu smiled, "I didn't kiss you to shut you up, I kissed you to make a point."
"Which is...?"
The man paused and took a deep breath, as if preparing for a speech.
"I'm happiest when I'm with you. And honestly, I don't think I've even laughed in front of anyone else before. Trust me, I think you're plenty funny as it is, so you don't need to try to make me laugh, okay? Besides, you can make me smile without even trying. That's something no one else can do."
After the sweet words processed in your mind, you jumped on Soryu, pushing him down and wrapping him in the warmest, tightest embrace possible. You nuzzled your head into his shoulder.
"Jeez, you're gonna make my heart stop someday, Soryu... I love you..."
Soryu smiled and placed a kiss atop your head.
"I love you too."
