Grocery shopping. I hate it. Walking through the aisle you have so many things to look for. Honestly I rather take exams. No. Wait. You would never prefer to take exams Marley, what the hell are you talking about.

While contemplating life, I strolled through the aisles, looking for vanilla ice cream because when it comes to a women's monthlies, we just eat whatever we see. It's unusual to be honest.

At that moment, I craved vanilla ice cream and if I didn't get it in my system soon enough I would have withdrawal symptoms and that ain't pretty.

I entered the frozen food aisle and scanned the refrigerators for Harrison Macfarlane's Vanilla Ice Cream. Yes. I adored a certain brand. Calm your farm.

I spotted a lonely HMVIC tub sitting in the refrigerator and immediately rushed up to get it. In the process of opening the fridge door, I encountered a tall, muscular, brunette boy. We made eye contact and then we made eye contact with the isolated ice cream tub.

Realisation came upon me. We both wanted the ice cream. Automatically it became one of these Wild West shoot off scenes, with the creepy music in the background.

As if by instinct, we both leapt for fridge door handle. The brunette grabbed it milliseconds before me whipping it open and grabbing the ice cream tub, while whacking me in the face, square on, with the glass refrigerator door.

I fell back, like I was in a slow motion movie. Except I hit my head hard on the marble floor. Hard.

I saw the brunette boy's facial expression change dramatically, from the sucked-in-loser face to a shit-I-just-killed-someone face.

I lay there on the floor like some kind of dead cockroach. I tried getting up but I was unsuccessful. The brunette held his hand out for me and I accepted it, pulling myself up while watching the brunettes muscles flex. What? When you get the chance to look at muscles, why not?

I stood up. My head was still throbbing.

"I'm so sorry. I just wanted the ice cream tub. Do you need anything? Ice? Ice pack?" the brunette started

"Ice cream maybe?" I said chuckling through breaths.

The brunette laughed.

"What about I take you out to the Harrison McFarlane Ice Cream Bar and I'll buy you some?" The brunette suggested, lifting his eyebrows.

I pondered about it for a moment. While thinking the brunette reached his hand around my head, trying to comfort me. When a winced at a certain point he touched, he quickly apologised and lowered his hand to my waist. So by now, I was staring straight into his eyes.

"An ice cream would be awesome thanks." I exclaimed, finally agreeing.

The brunette payed for the tub and we walked out of the supermarket, his arm was still around my waist. I didn't resist it.

"Name?" the brunette asked. "My names Max by the way."

"Marley. Marley Weller." I said shyly, giving him a smile.

"It's a very beautiful name. My cousins name is Marley too." Max said as-a-matter-of-factly.

"That's cool." I responded.

We arrived at the Ice Cream bar. Max ordered a Vanilla and ordered one for me too.

We sat and I ate hungrily. After a while I noticed Max staring at me. I looked up and he snapped back to reality.

"Oh uh, sorry..." Max said, embarrassed.

I smiled at him as if to say no problem and he returned the small gesture.

I continued eating my ice cream. I was scooping up the last three to four scoops when Max blurted something completely unexpected.

"You're hot."

I dropped my spoon, spell bound but what he had just bombarded at me. He immediately tried to cover for what had just slipped out.

"I mean, we should go out sometime. Your eyes are pretty! More ice cream?" Max shot out before slapping his hand against his mouth.

By that time I had raised my eyebrows, trying to process what had just occurred.

"Yes we should. Thank you. And no I don't want anymore ice cream thanks." I replied chuckling and giving him an awkward smile while he sheepishly scratched the back of his head and laughed.

"It-it's a date then, yes?" Max grinned, hopefully.

I wondered for a second. What about Jason? Nah, ditch Jason. Move on Marley, move on.

"Yes. It's a date." I said, making his face light up.

"Oh, thank god. For a second there I thought you were about to walk off on me." I laughed at this and shook my head.

We shared numbers and decided when and where. It felt good to carry on and change things up. I had a good feeling about this boy.

We went our different ways. I walked back to my house.

You know how they say you have love at first sight? My version goes a little like this:

Love at first whack.

THANKS GUYSSSSSSS. This was an interesting chapter. But we now know that the new Maxley boat has set sail.
