Fallen Angel

Chapter three

When I opened my eyes I notice my surroundings looked funny. The ground was green and the sky was black with stars. Malik had always said that when you first land, to look to the sky and see what's out there.

Then I remembered the two archangels that I had come with and started looking around for them.

" Jessica," Raphael said.

I turned around to see that he was holding a robe out to me. I glanced down and realize that I was in a human body and that I was naked.

I stood up and tried to walk over to him but my legs buckled beneath me. As I fell forward I felt to hands steady me.
Gabriel.

" Raphael she is new to this," Gabriel said. " She will not be able to stand for a while."

With that he walked over to Raphael and took the cloak from him. Then he turned around and placed the cloak on my shoulders.

It was soft but cold.

" Where are we?" I asked.

" New York City," said Gabriel.
I was so happy but I didn't know what to say. So I just sat there and nodded my head.

" So is this where we are staying?" I asked.

Raphael chucked and said " no but I think you will like where we are staying better than this."

Then he walked over to me and picked me up. Then they both spread their wings and took off. It was so cold that I put my face to his shoulder and let him fly.

When we landed I noticed that we were walking to a huge skyscraper. It was very tall and very bright. I guess we weren't the only ones staying here.

As we walked inside I was hit with a breeze of cold air and shivered.

When we got up to the front desk Raphael set me down so I could try to stand on my own. It wasn't easy but I just held on to the desk and stood.

When the guy came around I couldn't help but stare. He looked no older than 23 and yet he was working at a desk.
" What can I help you with?" Said the desk man.

" We need a room for three," said Gabriel.

" That would be floor nine, room 12," he said as he handed over a key.

" Will that be cash or credit?" He asked.

" Cash," Raphael said as he got out a wallet.

" Do you know how long you will be staying?" He asked.

" No," said Gabriel.

" Should I charge you for a week for now?" He asked.

" Yes," said Raphael.

I kind of felt bad for the poor man. He never knew which one was going to speak so he had to glance from one to the other.

" That will be $1500 for the room for a week," he said.

As Raphael paid for the room Gabriel gently let me to the elevator. As we got in Raphael ran and got in just in time. Then he pressed the number 9 and I Waited for it to go up.

When the elevator dinged we stepped off and walked to room 12. As Raphael put the key in the slot I looked around and noticed a man leave his room. He was tall about a foot taller then my higher. With a nice tan that went well with his black hair. And as he turned to walk the other way I noticed that he had midnight black eyes. They were amazingly black and they made me want to walk over to him and do whatever he said.

Before I almost took a step Gabriel grabbed my hand and pulled me into the room.

I just stood there frozen in my spot.

" You okay Jessica?" Said Raphael with concern.

" Yeah I'm fine," I mumbled not wanting to answer.

" You should get some sleep," said Gabriel." We have a big day tomorrow."
With that he walked to one of the three beds and sat down.

I guess he chose his bed. So I walked over to the bed in the middle and flopped down onto it. It was soft and warm. Just like home. As I lay down and closed my eyes I wondered what the future held for me.

And with that I fell asleep.
