~Paige POV~
"Well that was awkward," I whispered to myself. I walked to my locker and put my books in the top shelf. I grabbed my papers and walked to class. I scanned the room and saw the same guy in my seat.
"Um, hello that is....my seat," I said clinching unto my papers. "Oh sorry here," the mysterious guy said scooting over one seat. "Thank you," I said. "No problem," he said with a faint smile.
I decided to smile back and be friendly. "So mystery boy, what's your name?" I asked. "Reid Matthews," he said. "And what about you, mystery girl," he asked. "Paige.. Paige Owens," I replied pulling out a pen and paper out of my backpack to take notes.
"A school girl now aren't we?" he asked propping his feet up on his desk. "That's repulsive," I said referring to his feet on his desk. He chuckled and removed them, "So how bout that date and instead of my place, the park?" he asked. "I...I can't," I said. "Why?" he asked. "I just can't okay!" I yelled and everyone in the class looked at us in the back. "Mrs. Owens what can't you do?" asked the teacher. "I....I can't talk I need to take notes," I said I could feel my face turn hot as all of the eyes turned on me.
~Reid POV~
As Paige said that in front of the whole class I had realized I had embarrassed her. "Mrs. Cook I was asking her for a pencil and trying to chat her up it was all my fault....really," I said looking over at Paige mouth widened. I guess nobody had ever stood up for her before. "Mr. Matthews pay attention please," said the teacher. "Okey-dokey," I said.
Paige passed me a note and I read it:
Mystery boy,
Meet me at locker 116 after class
Paige!
I smiled and nodded at her.
***AFTER CLASS***
"Hey you wanted to see me?" I asked meeting Paige at her locker. "Yeah, thank you...for standing up for me I really appreciate it." said Paige. "No problem but you owe me...a date," I said. "You never stop do you?" she asked. "Nope," I replied putting my hands in my pocket and smiling at her. "Fine, but the park we can study or whatever," she said. "Cool Friday after school," I said. She nodded and the bell rang.
She walked down the hallway to her class and then I knew.....She was the one.
